I don't usually comment on attendance, but Houston's basketball attendance is a freaking joke. Pathetic is not even close to describing it.
UH is still the flagship for the American. Yall can talk all you want but if the b12 expanded this year losing houston would end any p6 talks period for the AAC. Basketball doesn't matter if it did Uconn wouldn't be here.
Guess what? The XII is not expanding, and Houston is not the flagship. Flagships don't average 300 in attendance for basketball. You don't even sell out your tiny stadium for football. Flagship my azz.

Call out our attendance if you want but I think the basketball team (performance wise) has improved each year under Sampson. We suffer from a lack of size and inside presence but our guards can play with anybody in this league. With Davis back hopefully we can round into form for the tourney and make a run.
As for football, don't even go there. Our season maybe have been sabotaged by our neighbors to the North, but it was still far better than UC's.
lI never mentioned your pathetic attendance. UH football finished tied for 5th in the aac. At least your hoops team owns that honor outright. And any team that shats their shorts like UH did vs SDS has no business talking flagship. LOL!
I never called us a flagship program. You said UH was sorry, that was all I was responding to. I don't believe 15-7 is sorry. We won't make the tournament but we've got a great shot at 20 wins. Our attendance is sorry as others have pointed out. And again don't even bring up football. UC went 1-7 in conference this year in football. lololol now that's pathetic
Part of your UH clown show called it a flagship. It's half way up the standings in both sports. UC will be back on top in football next season. It will always be the cream of the conference in Hoops
Well then he's an idiot. Personally I have a ton of respect for UC. I view yall as an unlucky Louisville. A program deserving of a invite to a major conference but for the time being stuck in tweener land. I admire your optimism about yalls football team and would certainly like it to be true. A down UC does nothing for the conference. Enjoy the rest of the season.

You must have forgotten the last time UC made a bowl vs SDSU.
UH was the only g5 team in the country (even with wmu's dream season) to be talked about for a national championship.
UH Is the entire reason for the p6 campaign. That was literally piggy backed onto UH hype.
If UH has a bad year, the entire conference suffers. UC had a **** year, and the American continued to be the most talked about g5 and the most viewed on TV by far, mainly thanks to Houston and Navy.
You can have more than one Flagship university in the American, but UC just isnt one of them. You're the Colorado state of the American. Everyone is expecting you to do something, but you never do

The biggest upgrade of course is Lf for TT. The engine works a whole lot better when all the pistons are working. Hopefully, Torance Gibson a five star transfer from ohio state will win the qb position and Lf can install a run option offense. We also may have a couple of transfers from Ohio State on the oline. This is our weakest position going into spring ball, and the transfers can solidify. We return about everyone in the offensive skill positions, so they will have another year of seasoning.
Linebacker could be a weakness if the young guys do not pan out. The three starters for next year had starts in the past but who knows. I think the defensive line will be a strength. We will be average in the secondary.

Since joining the American, you are 2-2 in football against UC. Let's not even talk about your pitiful display at the other big sport basketball. Your basketball attendance looks more highschool than p5. I hate playing you guys on national tv for fear that a recruit will change their mind because they do not want to play in a museum. The first couple years in the conference, Houston had its usual mediocre year in football and a pathetic year in hoops yet the conference survived. Remember that wonderful opening to your new facility only to get drummed by UTSA. That was a total embarrassment. You were fortunate to get a great coach for a couple of years and even one of those years you squandered. Remember, you chose to join us, not the other way around. Get over yourself, you are not going anywhere nor are we.

André Washington for ECU is an example of a talent that gets wasted at a P5 school (first three years at Wake Forest). I saw the UC at ECU in person on my drive back and witnessed that he is an excellent shot blocker (and again yesterday). He already has easily logged more minutes for the Pirates already than he did in three years at WFU.

Why is it that some UH fans think that the AAC'S rise didn't start until Houston had a good season?

Take a chill pull guy. UH is not the flagship program of this conference. We would have to sustained success for that. Are we one of the better programs in the conference? Yes. Were we the most talked about this year? Yes. But we also dropped the ball. After the way our season ended there is literally no reason to be talking the way you are. Your rants make our fan base look delusional and arrogant. Stop.

Agreed. There is no flagship, because all the candidates have holes in their resume. Hence, no invites were extended.

Lebo must know that he is gone. What coach takes off a season due to surgery for a non-life threatening injury.

LOL!
Everyone is expecting you to do something, but you never do
UH was in the playoffs discussion last year for about half the season last year, which was about the same amount of time that Memphis was the previous year (and we were then and remain the highest ranked g5 team in this new ear of p5/g5 nonsense) until our coaches started renting Uhauls. Why is it that some UH fans think that the AAC'S rise didn't start until Houston had a good season?
Shut up memphis literally no one is talking to you. This is an argument for the two teams who had a chance to get in the big 12.
Someone is in their feelings

LMAO! Houston is irrelevant to college sports. If not for the Texas state legislature and univ or Texas coercing the B12...they wouldn't even have been an honorable mention for inclusion into the B12. UC has the longest, richest history in hoops then any school including UConn. We lead them in every category but titles. Yet they STILL are more of a historic program and flagship then Houston is. Lmaololol at Houston as a flagship.

While you guys were winning 3 games last year Houston beat two Top 5 teams.
Has Cincinnati EVER done that in its 'storied' past (before you guys sucked and fired your coach)? Cinci fans really shouldn't be flapping that gash above their chinny chin chins.
