Seems like he was always involved/suspected of shady business. He certainly wasn't hanging out with choir boys. You hate to see somebody squander the opportunities he was given.

Shackleford was at the center of a point shaving scandal at NC State that eventually ended Valvano's tenure as the NC State basketball coach.
