For $25,000 you can get an inflatable bounce house dragon instead of just a tent.

UCF tweeted this out:

Those were renderings. The actual cabanas will be even further back than our prototype in '16

Danny White and UCF is doing what exactly what I think is needed to be done in current environment of hd tv and attendance challenges. Don't worry about increasing capacity, just improve amenities. Brighthouse is turning into a nice intimate place to watch a Football game and I love the added International Soccer games in the offseason

The sight-lines would be terrible. I am a second decker at TDECU. I like to look down on play development.

That looks much better/safer than the renderings.

I was thinking they might think about issuing jerseys with WR numbers for slightly overthrown passes.

That looks good.

Louisville is incorporating field level suites in our north endzone expansion. They've already sold out for the 2018 season. Jurich got the idea from AT&T stadium, and will include an entrance similar to the Cowboys walking through a bar/lounge area while coming out of the tunnel.

I think this is a good idea for UCF and can generate additional revenue. However, if this photo is any indication, there's gonna be quite a few upset fans in the stands that can't see part of the end zone. I also question the $22K price tag; seems kinda steep for tailgating tents. I'd start at $10K and if the demand is there, increase it the next year.

UCF was originally only going to do the North Endzone, but they've already sold out completely and are now doing the South as well.

And others mentioned before, it is $22k / season, not game. Nice little $400k to $500k injection in revenue.

Only part I don't like and hope they fix from this prototype is flattening the roofs so the view of the students in the endzones aren't obscured.
While their tickets are "free", they all pay about $400 per year in athletic fees via their tuition.

But how can we be sure demand is there at $22k if only half of them sold out instantly and there's only 8 months until the season starts?

I guess we'll just have to see. To me, it seems the only downside will be empty structures waiting to be sold. I'm not even sure if they're going to be permanent structures or not. I don't even really see a downside, if they make them without obstructed view, (even then, they'll just be in front of the students) as well as being safe for the players.

Cal Stanford and the marching band in the end zone?

Cheers!

UCF has already sold out the South End Zone (which was their initial plan) and now will expand it because of demand to the North End Zone.

In addition to inclusive food being served, free beer/drinks will also be a part of this package.

Do they come with banana hammock wearing cabana boys serving Vegas style bottle service and a Steve Aoki DJ residency, complete with him making his hand hearts?

The camera people will be on the white line between the endzone and the tents, so they'll still be there to slow them down first.

Well screw it then, with a human meat shield who needs to worry about the tents.
