UVa also undefeated and outscored opponents 91-36. A lot of offense in the ACC top teams this year it seems. We'll see in conference play how that holds up.

Is it possible that the ACC is the best football, basketball and baseball conference this year?

So they have now out scored their opponents 102-18 on the season, incredible! This includes a win against a top 25 team as well.

Possible but I wouldn't count the SEC out in baseball yet. The ACC has done well on the women side also.

Mik Aoki may not last until mid-season.

ND blew a lead against Maryland last night with one out in the ninth to drop to 1-7.

Today? Losing 3-0 to UMass-Lowell. Who knew that the latter even had a baseball team?

Needed 13 innings to top Eastern Michigan today. And scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings. WHEW.

10 and 0 but way too close today!

10 runs a game is a tough pace to keep up. It will be good for the team in the long run to battle through some adversity.

RE: Open Thread - 2017 Baseball Season
Louisville edges Eastern Michigan again today, 8 - 7.

The Cards had to go to the bullpen a bunch this series. This upcoming week, with two mid week games, followed by the weekend series with Pitt, may tax the Cards pitching, but we shall see, I guess.

11 - 0 on the season. The third time the baseball team has started 11 - 0. In 2010, and back in 1957. So, off to a great start.
