I'm talking about as QB at UH. I said potential star. I'm sure he will be, but he still has to do it there.
Riley Ferguson broke Paxton Lynch's records at Memphis. Not sure what else he has to do to prove himself.

I've got to remember that line for use later.
There are a couple of programs that think the rest of the conference is judged by how everyone performs against them. :)
UConn fans used to think that about basketball. Now they are struggling to beat an ECU team by less than 10 points.....a ECU program that is close to firing it's coach for less than acceptable performance. Ouch.

i disagree but curious what you mean
Obviously your QB is the potential. Riley and Flowers are the provens
i pretty much guessed that, but wanted to make sure before i made a rebuttal
SMU-if you remove wins and losses matt davis was extremely productive when he played 2 years ago for smu (and his top wr and rbs were freshmen then), he wasnt the bad defense that keep costing them games ..smu could be drastically improved next year...if so davis could really shine
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amnb5Dc5-Ig
Cincy- Torrence gibson could be a star..ohio state was too deep at qb from day 1 (cardale, barret, and miller were all on the team), he was moved to WR from the get go...i actually think he will be a star, his passing stats wont be great, but i expect him to have similar stats to braxton miller (a good comparison to him) when he was qb at ohio state (2000passing, 1000rushing)if he wins the job.. and for the offense they will be running (think houston, usf) that will be enough to shine
Jonathan Banks at tulane, is a who knows, but he fits what fritz is trying to do and fritzs always wins wherever he is at
chad president at tulsa is the one question mark, he can run but tulsa runs a passing offense, but coach Montgomery really like him and was grooming him to take over
After what I saw from Ferguson last season against Tulsa, I certainly wouldn't say he's a star. He made some long passes to that speedy Memphis wideout, but he collapsed when he got rushed.
A lot of Tulsa fans aren't even sure if President will start. There's a RS Freshman named Luke Skipper who is getting a lot of under the radar buzz. We're expecting an honest competition in the spring.
Not everyone is defined on how they played against Tulsa. Riley had a bad O-Line on one side that allowed defenders to terrorize him. The O-Line was adjusting to a new blocking scheme that requires you to be an earth mover. Fuente recruited smaller linemen. He isn't the ideal QB to move around in Norvell's offense. Norvell still has tweaked to help Riley out. You should save the chest thumping to see how your offense reacts to some of your turnover on roster.
He's still not a star. He didn't even get close to putting up as large of numbers as Evans put up during his junior year when our line was porous and we had no defense. Would you have called Evans a "star" quarterback in our league?
