Wassink and Flacco need to make a statement for themselves. One of them is going to come out of that game as the heir apparent.

Does anyone know anything about the other QB's on our squad? I'm showing Alex Mussat as a Transfer from Illinois and Brendan Tabone out of Orchard Lake St. Mary's (good school!). Do either of those guys factor into the mix?

In my view the job is wide open right now, somebody needs to make a case for themselves.

At WRer as well. We need 3-4 go to guys.

Bellamy and Eskridge I assume will see time at the slot spots. I would guess the jet motion will be a part of the offense with those two speedsters. Keishawn Watson, Anton Curtis should be able to step up and contribute. We will need a few others to be able to make an impact as well.

Our bread and butter will be runs right up the gut. We have a good OL and strong RB's. That will set-up jet sweeps and QB sneaks.

I'd like to see Ernsberger used more in the receiver role. He's a darn good blocker but he's also a good receiver. He's picked up some great yardage for us.

Also, Franklin and Bogan are good receivers. Having a strong OL allows us to move those guys out of the backfield for RB drop off passes.

Finally, Flacco's running skills will be good for those 6-7 yard pickups on first down. If we can get those consistently-and he doesn't get injured-we can really move the ball.

It all depends on the type of offense we have. I really like the read and RPO's that Cirroccia had, I just wished he did a little more. Depending how good Borske and Heimbuch actually are, we could see a lot of sets with Ernsberger playing where he plays with another TE. That will open up a lot of options in the ground game as well.

I think we could have a really interesting offense with Flacco but I'm not sure they'll want to go too one dimensional. I think (hope?) we'll see quite a bit of him even if Wassink wins the job though.
