the other day. I was there to get some USF tickets, so I thought I would take the opportunity to look - really LOOK this time - at the hall. It is really nice. BUT... when I saw the installation for "Conference Championships" I read the whole board three times just to make sure. No mention of football. We have story lines about Basketball CCs and 3 other sports in which we hold CCs. But we have, to my knowledge, 4 conference championships in football since we joined D-1a. 3 from the Missouri Valley, and 1 from the AAC.

Is that just not a big deal to anybody but me?

If true, and I feel sure it is since you are the poster, then send it on the "THE MAN" at U of M and ask why. There may be some legitimate reason but I can't imagine what it would be. It certainly should be corrected.

Donate a sizeable chunk and get it changed.

Agree. We should claim the AAC. IIRC, it was a 3-way tie. We had the head-to-head advantage but the conference tiebreakers were not clear. And there was no CCG. So it officially went as co-champs. But to any sensible person, it's ours.

In the MVC, we had 2 outright conference champs, and 1 co-champs. Should be in the HOF.

Hell... we've GOT the TROPHY!!! All 4 of them should be in a trophy case in the Hall, prominently displayed IMHO. If we don't have the 3 from the MVC, we should commission recreations of them. Nothing wrong with it.

Seems like an oversight on the University's part... or potentially just laziness. At any rate, it should be on display.

HOF is probably not on the list as one of the top priorities for the athletic department.

Is it truly a bullet point on a priority list when all it takes is us to move a trophy or create a plaque/sign? This isn't exactly the magnitude of building an IPF or determining how we can get another 5000 people to attend basketball games.
