2017 Offensive Line
O-Line has to be much improved in order for us win a conference chanmpionship. We struggled against teams with above average D-Lines. During games we seemed to struggle to run the ball consistenlty at times, but this weakness was offset by having RB 's that can break off big runs at any given time. Good article by Shad, enjoying the offseason articles.

When we sign Eze and if we get the FL grad transfer, we should be set for next season with good depth.

I believe 2016 JC O-Line signees redshirted, as I don't remember them takin snaps.

There was a Sate fan on the recruiting forum last week saying Eze might flip to State, any truth to this?

Awesome...a lot of former P5 players matriculating to Memphis.

That could only be a good thing.

The secondary alone with have two Oklahoma players and an Alabama player.

Lafaele was a starter at the beginning of the season and then lost his job and did not play much thereafter.

Lost his job due to injury and then the younger player performed well in his absence and he was never able to get it back. He didn't lose the job due to performance, he got injured and the younger player took advantage of his opportunity. He should be a good player for us.

Are you referring to the 2 Oklahoma guys who decommitted.. I know their were 2 that did but not sure if these are them.. The only reason I asked is because I think one of them or both committed to Oklahoma St..

Windham and Green signed already.

Both were former OU players who went JC.

Those were prep players from the state of OK. One may have been a tight end but I don't think any of them were offensive linemen.

I may be wrong though, it happened once before when I thought I had been wrong but it turned out I had been right so I was wrong about being wrong.

WR Nick Robinson and safeties Marcus Mays and Gervarrius Owens were the 3 from OK that decommitted, IIRC.

Recruiting forum says we had an in home with Robinson last night, sounds like we at least have a chance of still landing him despite the de-commit.

RE: 2017 Offensive Line
Offensive line is one of those positions that can be improved during the offseason...

Serviceable offensive linemen can be built over a 5 year career.
