What do you think of the new WMU coach?

Voted No, but I hope he does well. i think we could have got someone with more head coaching experience. I like it better then pinkham or macpherson so if those were the only other options then yes I am happy. I am so so on this hire would be nice to have that option.

RE: Are you happy with the Tim Lester hire?
I think he's 'ok'. My 2 cents: 1) If he was not a former WMU QB he wouldn't have been on top of Kathy's list. 2) There were other, more pedigreed, coaches out there that would have taken this job (see #1). He's most likely cheap and ticks all the boxes for character/integrity etc. But he lacks any kind of 'wow' factor that will flip lost recruits back like a Tyrone Wheatley surely would have done. I just hope we don't lose any current roster players. All in all a safe pick but leaves me thinking 'what coulda been'.

The players gave him a warm welcome, I'll give him a warm welcome. Ask me in 4 years.

According to Brian Kaufman's twitter, PJ texted KB this AM to let her know she made the perfect hire.

Also, Hawkins likes the hire. It will be nice to have them on the same page.

Never mind about the 'cheap' part. He's getting the same $800K plus incentives that PJ got. Was that necessary? The guy would've taken the job for a bag of footballs. What other options did he have?

I voted yes, I like what he said at the press conference and the players seemed to like him. He highlighted recruiting and how he knows this area well. Go Broncos!

Source? I doubt seriously he's getting $ 800k right out of the gate.

Tony Paul who has been spot on with everything. I am surprised we didn't interview Houston and Klieman with those #'s.

Also according to Paul, Kathy is negotiating the RTB with Minn. She doesn't want it.

Fair enough, but let's not give it away. PJ should toss Kathy a bone, she went out on the limb for him. A home and home would be great.

No openings until 2021. PJ will be at Notre Dame by then

That's the timeline I was thinking also. Not only does he have little time to find his staff but finding and securing good recruits. 2018 will be a better indicator when he has more time to work with. Not using this as an excuse in case the Broncos struggle this fall.
