We've had the following run plays lately:
inside zone
outside zone
zone read
QB option
TE trap
FIVE core run plays that we've absolutely DOMINATED teams with.
To see it done so simply vindicated everything I've ever said about Bill Cubit and his avoidance of a run game like the plague. He's an antiquated football coach that led us to no better than 3rd place in the division his last four seasons at WMU.
RTB = RUN THE BALL
I have always felt if you keep it simple and focus on execution you will have success. If you bring in players who execute your type of offense, regardless of the number of 'stars' the analysts give them, you will have success. If you focus on deception in your plays and less power-on-power, you will have success.

RE: WOW
One thing about running the football-the QB needs to be a legitimate option for carrying the ball. If all he's doing is handing off to RB's, you've essentially taken one player off your team and are playing 10 on 11 football.
That's what makes Single Wing offense so effective, EVERY guy in the backfield is a legitimate threat to carry the ball. I've long been a supporter of it. The Wishbone is the same way, but more geared towards pure power rather than deception.
