Why are we making the assumption Pinkham wants to stay?

This isn't rocket science, and if Lester can't connect the dots on things like this we are in for a long long 5 years.

Maybe Pinkham told him he only has a year or two left and he brought in someone to learn from him.

OK. Co-DC. Maybe not that big of a deal.

Ok they must have updated the original post. I don't remember seeing CO-Defensive coordinator. That or I am just blind.

I am having flashbacks to the Cubit era. It just seems like we're moving in the wrong direction here.

It would be comforting if Lester announced the retention of Pinkham, Williams, Duggan, and Kenney.

The footballscoop post says Espo will be CO-DC. I think that means its fairly safe to assume Pinkham is staying on as the other CO-DC.

I thought you said we're Supposed to be going to the MACC again. 03-wink

I hope Lou Pizzeria being a Co-DC with Pinky is something that Pinky likes/wants, with an added person (Lou) to make sure all bases are covered and then some to have a good focus on our D in the coming years. I would certainly Not like it if Pink's not liking it so much.

If he's not -- let's just get Cubit as OC and Ryan as QB Coach -- and squeeze Darnell in there somewhere. 03-wink

Well...a hiring rumor I can get behind. Looks like Indiana's Kevin Johns may be our new offensive coordinator QB coach

Yeah, paying Lester more money's not going make it happen any more, though. Otherwise we'd be paying him what we would have paid PJ ($30m/10yrs) so we'd be in BCS Bowls every other year. :)

Whether we paid him $400k + $400k-potential-bonus -- the same results would be expected when betting in Vegas at this point.

The good thing is apart from His pay -- but the other coach budget being $1.1m from what I've heard. I think that's why we're getting Lou Pizzeria to coach alongside Pinky -- more $ to spend to cover all the bases.

Now your getting behind my drift. I.e: bad hire. Can't even put together a staff. Good luck.

Apparently your "drift" is to be the most negative person ever because your hero Les Miles didn't get hired here. Try supporting the program for a change. Debbie Downer types just don't enjoy life. Instead, they just turn every situation into a negative one. No one enjoys that.

If Espo is on board, no need for Williams. They would be coaching the same position

Texas, get a grip. Put down the koolaid. How in the hell was this a good hire? It's not. So quit pretending it is and expecting a "trust the hire" - expectations.

I remember Esposito being on the staff but not as co - anything. I remember Cohen and Nagey(?) back then. Maybe he was he in between them and I just don't remember.

I think Lancer is the anti-DB/Moomba... we can't win for losing here... I have expected the real DB to start roaming here again now that PJ took his schtick elsewhere.

Lou has been quite diligent over the last few years building a program at Davenport here in GR... I just hate going back to coaches that were here before ... when we weren't nearly at this level... it reaks of a backslide.

Now there a coherent argument. Are you taking note boomerang?
