Who he brings in or retains as coordinators. We were pissed at the Fleck hire. Fleck got us to the point where the players are now dictating culture. Lester just needs to nail his coordinator hires. We will be fine.

Agree with everything except the long haul bit. If he wins, he will move on and up, he's a young dude. But that would be a good tjing, because it means we're winning.

Yeah.. not buying that he would stay either if he has success. Another reason I'm not a fan of this hire.. since his alum status would seem to be his main "qualification".

He may leave for another opportunity. That's ok I don't know the guy but would wager he will handle it better when that time comes than our last coach. Granted not a big stretch

So I'm curious. What will be your thoughts on hiring Jake Moreland as the OC?

Do you think Jake's set/positioned to become an OC?

I'll wait to answer this until Flushtheherd indicates how much of a success he would view that hire. :) I agree with him completely that the success of Lester depends highly on the staff he chooses.

Yeah, I would by default lean on that. But if he has strong ties & relationship with Shafer, I could see him choosing him... who knows!

Pinkham is hosting recruits at a local bowling alley as we speak. I would think that is a good thing for those that want to keep him. Or maybe he is just playing good soldier. Either way, personally, I want Ed Pinkham coaching that defense. His ability to make adjustments has been fantastic.
