Mick needs something similar for OFFENSIVE effort. Badly. Very badly.

I'll just say that winning is not ALWAYS about being "hungrier". More often it is about being better prepared and more talented. Instead of the constant underdog crap, I prefer our guys walk onto the court knowing that they are the better team. IMO that mindset goes a helluva lot further than being the scrappiest dog in the fight.

Last night? They shot 46% from the field in general and from 3, had 19 assists on 25 baskets; all of this, despite Evans going 1-10 for the game.
I know it's going to challenge certain people's beliefs and prejudices, but offense is not an issue anymore. There are no teams who shoot 50% every game and never miss 3 pointers or free throws in college basketball. They don't exist. This is what a good offense looks like. Yes they had a hard time toward the end last night, but in general, their passing, shooting and spacing is all good. They didn't rebound and they couldn't stop Brown from scoring. Less rebounds, less possessions and no second chance opportunities + Evans being a no show made that game close.

For once, it's not our offense. Say it out loud "The offense doesn't suck anymore." repeatedly, until it sinks in.

Watch the last 6 minutes of last night's game. Pure luck we did not lose at home.

You ever said, "Pure luck we did not win that game"?

Last season was full of close losses and most people said something like, "These guys can't close, good teams find a way to win, this team doesn't." Now this year they win a few closes game and suddenly people are fine with crediting luck.

How many stops and defensive rebounds did we get down that stretch? That had nothing to do with offensive execution. We had 4 turnovers all game. They had 37 points in the second half, that's DEFENSE not offense.

I repeat what I said before, it wasn't the offense that made that game close. It was the number of 1 and done possessions and the inability to stop Brown. You can argue we didn't hit as many shots, but no offense on planet earth hits every shot it takes.

Mmmmmm K. Certainly did not look to me or anybody around me last night that UC had the game under control in the final minutes. But you just keep believing that. I'm sure that will work out come March...

UC lead the entire game. Credit to SMU for fighting back with UC going cold late but UC was the better team the vast majority of the night. SMU is good...UC won. I feel bad for people that can't appreciate this team. Been a top 20 team by almost every objective measure all year and I don't think they've peaked.

Shocking how many people don't appreciate good wins over good teams. Enjoy the season.

Really? So maybe Cronin shouldnt provide any incentives. Just get what you consider the better talent. Jeesh.

I certainly appreciate the win. But to characterize it as a "good win" after we were up by 15 and only squeaked by on a 2 point margin? SMH...

Mick ball pretty much precludes "enjoying the season". One ugly game after another. No joy in Mudtown tonight.

It was a great win. And it's obvious you don't appreciate it.

I have witnessed a fair number of UC "great wins" but I'm sorry, this doesn't even deserve mention. So, why don't you let us know where you think this "great win" ranks, all time?

Oh. So now it's not only "not good". It's got to be one of the best wins of all time to be good. Waaaahahaha. Really. Get a grip.

Seriously. Why do you watch these games when you can't find any enjoyment in them? They're 14-2, AP #22. RPI #17, and yet your ability to enjoy this season is precluded.
