Its just baxetball. You have what matters. I'd agree to never have a winning season in baxetball If we could win 8 games in football every year. Damn squeaky shoes.

Haven't you already been granted that? 05-stirthepot

Are we already pretending football seasons isn't a thing?

(Cinci is solid in Bball again, but don't start turning into Kansas fans. Dormant all year in football, pretending they are athletic Gods when bball starts back up)

Like UConn in hoops, it was one off year for UC cfb. Won't happen to the premier athletic program in the league.

Just bought mediocre seats for our game at Tulsa - $45 each. Great seats at Houston for $16 each

Number 1 this is a basketball thread, feel free to start a Tulsa football recap thread that no one will care about. 2. No one is acting like we are gods. 01-wingedeagle

First of all it is basketball season so let's live the present. Second this thread was started by a Houston fan not a Cincinnati fan.

Lighten up Francis ....

Ha... one bad year and Tulsa fans are ready to pounce. I've got news for you -- Luke Fickell is putting together a coaching staff a lot of P5 schools would envy and is already pulling in big-time recruits. Get your shots in while you can.

Nobody was commenting on UC football in this thread because this is a basketball thread.

Your post is idiotic for the exact same reason.

Look, my team beat expectations in football this year and has 5 new starters and 9 new players for basketball. My expectations for basketball season are not high, all I can do is tear down other people. It's all I got!

Looking forward to UC football next year. Best staff in the history of the program. Now they just need to get the talent back to where it should be.

Yea right. A final four, two E8s, a S16, and 16 weeks at #1 where a unanimous NPOY broke has a leg in the cusa Tourney. Sans UConn...everyone else is rif raf

If u have to remind everyone of your programs success chances are it's been a long time. Sadly :(
What are you talking about? We have had plenty of recent success.

The Bearcats made the Sweet 16 in 2012, and are one of only 8 teams in the NCAA with a current streak of 6 or more tournament appearances. The other 7 teams are Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, Kansas, VCU, Gonzaga, and Wisconsin.

I guess we have different definitions of success. One sweet 16 appearance in the last 15 years for a top 20 all-time program is very underwhelming. Not to mention when was the last time we won a league or conference tournament? I believe we can get back to being a premier program but we haven't been since the 90s.

Nah, ain't no need for that. For what it's worth, we're actually slightly exceeding my expectations for basketball right now so I'm satisfied. Maybe we could sneak into the NIT?

Though I do agree we need to take the next step, UC won the league just a couple years ago.

What? UC won both the first AAC football and hoops league titles. What we have is a different definition of what a good team fan is.
