NSD Approaching
With NSD in a few weeks how are your recruiting classes shaping up? Coming into the off season I was expecting Tech to sign anywhere between 14-18 but Skip has indicated they are looking to sign 20-22. Currently we have 16 commits so I am interested in who the final 4 may be. Tech appears to be (can hardly tell with 18 year olds) in final 2-3 schools for 2-3 guys that have some fairly significant offers. We have commits from some local players that we traditionally have lost to schools like ARK or TCU so I am hopeful we will close on some of these more highly rated recruits.

RE: NSD Approaching
Big news for Charlotte is us trying to hold on to Florida's Mr. Football now that he is getting Cartel 5 offers:

Overall our class is shaping up pretty well.

NSD Approaching
Just got a verbal this week on a solid DL from Texas who had a PAC-12 offer in hand (Colorado) and enough interest from them that I'd call it a bit of a steal. Finally some good news!
Just got our new DC named this week and I'm sure he's a already big help on the home stretch.

We just had a 3-star RB from Florida flip his commit from Syracuse to UTSA. We're in line for our highest ranked recruiting class to date.

RE: NSD Approaching
FAU was apparently trying to steal our lead recruiter, but it didn't work/wasn't true.

In other news, FIU is putting together a solid class. Of the 20 known commitments so far, 18/20 are from either Miami-Dade or Broward counties. I love how Coach Davis is staying local and benefitting from South FL talent. FIU is also among the leading schools for two 4-star recruits, Latavious Brini (DB) and Kevaughn Dingle (WR). I think chances are they won't land those two, but it's cool to have guys of that caliber take official visits. I hope I'm wrong and Butch lands them!

Do I understand correctly from the football recruiting thread on The Parliament that Bailiff is also able to dangle a vacation in Australia (for the 2017 Stanford game) to recruits who sign with Rice on NSD?

I would think that perk would be worth something.
