How do StAte fans feel about Hansen next season?

I agree with your assessment.

RE: SBC Home/Away Conference Opponents Announced
Until stAte quits being Jekyll and Hyde I'm making no predictions for next year. I kept trying to hang my hat on one facet of the game we could depend on this past year. It was the defense. Special teams showed flashes, especially at the end of the season. But that offense was, well, offensive!

No, stAte won't be picked to win the conference. They never are. Seems to work out well for the team.

Is it football season yet?

Maybe so. But they also aren't in their second year of transition likely with less than 85 scholarships.

According to my OOC calculations our first conference opponent will be home against NMSU on Sep 16. Only other options are BYE or @App and I doubt they put App that early in the season since they'll likely want it on a thursday again.

Initiation. Our first year we played GS, Troy, stAte, & UL on the road. Very proud of the fact we went 3-1. Good luck except for one particular Saturday!

ULL's road slate ain't no picnic either. Fairly balanced, but App State and stAte with the most favorable matchups.

I don't think Texas State has it that bad comparatively. Road schedule is a little tougher than average but they have some very winnable home games and they miss 3 pretty solid teams altogether. Agreed on ULL's road games -- that's probably the toughest slate in the conference.

I think Ga southern and Coastal has the toughest schedule

Ga Southern goes to App, Hosts stAte and Goes to Troy and goes to ULL

Not so fast. I think we were playing with just 60-something scholarships this year.
You guys are probably more stable than we are right now honestly despite us already being up here for 5 years.

I think he's coming along. A little inconsistent/streaky throwing the ball. A second year with the same OC and all WRs/TEs/RBs except Kendall Sanders should help on consistency.

When you think about what he did in his second FBS start against Georgia Southern, and the final drive in the losing effort at Lafayette, it is hard not to like his poise.

Have heard that it isn't a lock he'll be starting QB next year.

Yea, that is one ugly road slate. Idaho will be good and ULL has trouble in Mobile.

And they have 3 OOC road games next year. @Tulsa, @Texas A&M, @Ole Miss.

I don't think anyone is entirely sure about Hansen. What I know is that he got much better later in the year taking care of the ball. Real key is finding a running game to help him out. He got put in way too many 3rd and 10 type situations this year.

I see that you've been to the App St. school of excuses, huh?

Was your center injured?

Sounds like both of y'all need to recruit some depth.

Dude we just came off a 4-8 season... we know we need depth and that's getting fixed.

Chunn was injured... you know one of our best players. As well as frye

I like the direction we are trending... unlike stAte
Chunn carried the ball 16 times for 51 yards and played into the fourth quarter. The rest of the RBs had 5 carries combined. Everyone has injuries but they had nothing to do with the results of that game. It was a bad matchup for Troy.

He played in every game. He had plantar fasciitis...you Try playing at 100% with that. He wasn't the same after App state. Frye was injured with collar bone Fx in the first play of the game with stAte and was a lot of our game plan for that day.

Chunn became a lot more healthy before Ohio.
A knee injury not a collarbone for Frye..

Haha.

stAte is the only FBS team in the country to win a conference title 5 of the last 6 years, including two years in a row.

Yeah, the direction we are trending is horrible.

Dang, I wish I had 5 dollars for every time someone has posted that. I'd be off on a winter vacation to someplace tropical.

Can we start charging them?

Haha.

That would have more chance of success, than expecting your football programs to stop it.
