How much does your AD make?
There was an earlier thread about AD longevity which was a thinly veiled slap at Charlotte's Judy Rose. The good news for my fellow Niner fans that want a new AD is that Judy will almost certainly retire soon as she is 65 years old, but my fear is that we may not be prepared to replace her with a significant hire due to money.

Rose makes $274,750 per year. How does this compare to your AD? I would like us to hire somebody with a successful track record rather than "potential", but does that cost more than we currently pay?

I have no idea how much our AD Todd Stewart makes, but he is worth every penny and more...We really need to keep him in the fold with a new president coming on board this summer....

Selig made a base salary of $272,480 and a total of $382,480 in 2014. Interesting that he made more than the President and was the third highest paid in the University behind BB & FB coaches.

Wow close to 400 k for an AD. 04-jawdrop no wonder Woody likes it here.

I just looked up the 2015 salaries and here are the top 4 for ODU.

John Broderick President $533,799
Robert Wilder Administrative - Instructor $454,590

Which is waaay too much for the job he does. He should return his pay with interest.

RE: How much does your AD make?
WKU's Todd Stewart makes a base salary of around $200k as he was just extended through 2012 back in March of last season. When he was extended his base salary remained the same but he was given a lot more in incentives. Here are just the new provisions added in 2016:

Under the new provisions, Stewart will receive $20,000 bonuses for postseason competition or a Conference USA regular-season championship for men's and women's basketball, as well as a football berth other than one of the New Year's Six games. He would receive $30,000 for a New Year's Six bid.

Stewart can also earn bonuses for postseason play or C-USA regular-season titles in baseball ($10,000), volleyball ($10,000), women's soccer ($5,000) and softball ($5,000). He gets $1,000 for individual members of WKU teams who participate as qualifiers.

The final performance incentives include a Conference All Sports Championship ($20,000) or a NACDA Top 100 Ranking ($10,000).

There are other incentives as well.

Stewart is entitled to an additional payment of $20,000 for finishing a fiscal year on June 30 with a balanced budget which requires no additional non-athletic department funding at the end of the fiscal year. Stewart has the discretion to allocate that payment to other employees who contributed to the achievement of the balanced budget, with approval by Ransdell.

That implies the employee is adding value to the organization. Fumbles should be paying UAB, including reimbursement for the doughnuts.

Pete Garcia makes $420,000 a year. We should certainly be able to hire a good quality AD once he leaves in 2018. If he leaves.

After reading these posts on different schools Ad's, I think WKU has gotten the best deal by far with what some of these schools AD's make...Leaves you scratching their head on some how they can make so much and their school's athletics a joke...
