"He is the best kicker in college football," Malzahn said, "and it is not even close."
You gone.

I'm not sure what type of coach UConn is getting from Auburn. What I've heard was that Rhett Lashlee wasn't really allowed to run his offense at Auburn, and he said, forget this, I'm taking a pay cut & going to UConn. But, in fairness to what the UCF fan said earlier, a force out is the first thing that came to my mind.
Some of you guys act like UGa and 'Bama are easy to beat, but in reality, they are not. It's true that UGa lost to Vandy. It's true that the Dawgs lost to quite a few people that they should have beat (GT springs to my Dawg mind). But make no mistake, the 'Dawgs get up for rivalry games, and Auburn is a huge rivalry game for UGa. I would dare say that for a UGa coach beating Auburn is on par with beating UF, GT, and Tennessee. UGa and Auburn recruit a lot of the same type of players from the state of Georgia. 'Bama pretty much locks up recruiting in the state of Alabama, so Auburn has to go somewhere else if it wants to get some good players. Since Auburn is very near the Alabama-Georgia state line, that state is Georgia, but Auburn also recruits the state of Florida heavily as well. UGa knows that there is a lot of high school talent in state of Georgia, so they do their best to try shut other programs out, but Auburn always seem to find a way in, and for all practical intents and purposes, you could consider Auburn to be a major college football power in the state of Georgia that rivals UGa. GT, is for all practical intents and purposes, is to UGa like how Memphis is to the Vols. It is a good program, but doesn't get that much publicity outside of the Atlanta metro, but a point that GT has in its favor that Memphis does not is that GT is in the P5 and Memphis is not. The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry (it is actually the second oldest rivalry in the south; UVa-UNC is the oldest) and the Iron Bowl are two very hard games to navigate for any Auburn head coach. Of the coaches that have been at Auburn in recent memory, Gus Malzahn has actually done very well, IMO, with what he's had to work with. Malzahn's challenges would parallel that of Mark Gottfried of NC State in men's basketball, IMO. UNC & Duke are both formidable giants in that sport, just like UGa & 'Bama are both formidable giants in football. Is it easy for NC State to topple both UNC & Duke every year in men's basketball??
All that said, Lashlee should do fine at UConn.
