KJ...
Needs to play more in control. He hurts the team too often with his stupid and selfish play.

Agree. Wouldn't hurt to play a little defense either.

I think he's thrived off of being aggressive but agree he does way too much out of control.

And still led the team in assists and rebounds tonight. He can be very vexing, for sure.

Basically a freshman.

Seems like he's over thinking right now.

RE: KJ...
Playing like a talented freshman. Makes some big plays, then "oh crap"! If we had more depth, we could sub out when he gets out of control. (Please, don't start the recruiting narrative again.) As it is, all these minutes might hurt at times like tonight - but they will help him grow up quicker.

He'll be a good one for the next couple of years.

RE: KJ...
He is either really good or really bad from game to game. Never just an average performance He is always noticed

He seems to make suspect pass / shot decisions. Seemed lost on defense tonight

He rebounded and fed the ball to his brother a lot tonight, but took a few difficult shots when the game was back and forth

I still think he is recovering. He seems a half step slow

Hopefully he will become more consistent. We need 3-4 scorers per game. He can be a good player for us. He will have 3 years remaining after this season. The playing time now will pay off down the road.

To me, it seems as if there is a half second hesitation before every shot...like I said, seems like he is a little bit reactionary at points during games right now.

RE: KJ...
He's always done stupid stuff, but tonight it looked like he let the bad calls get in his head. The one where he had the rebound in both hands along with the Tulsa player but got tagged with a foul seemed to be the start of it.

19 year old kid throwing a ball through an iron hoop, right?

RE: KJ...
Several valid points made here, but I think KJ will be fine over time. There are times when I don't like his body language and demeanor on the floor. It's difficult to play when you're not in control of your emotions. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of sitting him for long when things go south. Still, I believe he's going to smooth out the rough edges and be really good.

I've said it before - he's a 4 year guy with a little dog in him...I like his future as a Tiger and think his JR/SR campaigns will be well worth the initial bumps in the road.

Games don't mean much except for conference tourney seeding which there have been many times when it's all said and done, I would have preferred the worst seed. With our depth, a first round bye is worth fight for but if we lose another like this, may be out of our range.

That seems like something the previous coach would say.

Not really body language but one of his teammates was on the ground and he didn't even try to help him up. Just walked by him. I've never seen that before

That seems like something the previous coach would say.

The first two sentences sound like something any good Coach would say. What do you think Cal, Larry or Dana would have done in that situation?

The rest no coach would say but probably most would realize it is true- no at large for us this year.
