I'm not a big fan of 2-1 either, especially for football, but when you look at our basketball non-conference, I would take this deal in a heartbeat. This year our D1 OOC consisted of 8 away games, 1 neutral site game, and 3 home games. Not too good. We could do all 2-1 deals, and have better than what we did.

2 for 1 with a p-5 that are winnable is a huge win this early in CCU's FBS history.

On one hand I'm not a fan of 2 for 1 with a team like Kansas but getting a P5 to your stadium in the first few years of FBS is something GS hasn't been able to do so I say Congrats to you Coastal!

We can as TK addressed this at least twice. 2 for 1's have been turned down by TK and rightfully so they are horrible financial decisions for us and any team that is close to capacity for most games. If we seat 25K and average 21K why in your right mind would you give up a home game or money game for 4K more in attendance? Some of which are going to be students that get in without a ticket. You are talking about giving away $1M+/- just so you can say a P5 played here, especially a bottom dweller like Kansas. ULM did not even sell out the Wake game, yet they are a P5.

For CCU that has little history or fan base and will be increasing the size of their stadium I can see why one 2-1 early on makes a lot more sense. Just like when UCF did it with Texas when debuting their new stadium.

Plus Houston should be more exciting than Kansas at this point.
