This is in response to the jokers on here that act like AppState is not worthy to play a team of such superior standing as ECU... if AppState can draw within 2-3% of ECU's biggest P5 games like UNC, NCSU, and VT at your home stadium, I'd say that the Pirate faithful should be very happy with this series because you're likely to see a sellout. On the field, it's going to be an incredible series, and I'm glad the best 2 football teams in the state are not in the ACC... now let's sell out BOA Stadium, that would be cool!

No we are likely to sell near the average for the season like the last two games

Nobody is selling out BoA

The novelty of BOA helped with the first few games. The VT game that ECU won was definitely one of the most entertaining games I have been to and the place was very loud. South Carolina game would have been much better if they had not killed Student turn out with such high ticket prices. If they were smart they would pack BOA with ECU and App St fans for $30 tickets. With the game so far out it is hard to speculate what the crowd will be like. If ECU has turned things around we could end up bringing a good crowd and App St. will definitely bring a good crowd. It is a shorter drive for me to go to Charlotte then it is to Greenville and hotels are cheaper in Charlotte believe it or not so I will most likely be there.

Can't believe you haven't commented anything meaningful. As many Pirates faithful have stated, App brings the most visiting fans to games in Greenville; many have said App fan's will outnumber ECU fans in Charlotte; and App will most certainly have 35,000+ (depending on stadium expansion) in Boone when ECU heads up the mountain.

Two losing seasons in 26 years allows for threads like this to continue, especially when App is now an 85 scholarship program like ECU and has a chance to move up the food chain in-state. It starts this season with Wake Forest heading to Boone.

Wtf this is not true. UNC, State, Navy, even VT bring more than the last time app came.

No **** app state will outnumber ecu in Charlotte. It's 2 hours down the mountain contrasting with a 4-5 hour drive through Urblandia to play App State. I don't have numbers on how many ecu brought to charlotte against USCe VT or State but I promise you it was more than app will have.

Nobody cares about 35,000. Tulane can do that

I'm interested to see if this is true. If ECU fans traveled to fill the Liberty Bowl, they'll show up for this one, even for App St. if they stay competitive in their conference.
