Apps largest alumi base is in Charlotte, if App keeps winning I could see 45-60 thousand, ECU would bring 25,000 easy and App around 20,000, plus walkups just wanting to watch a game.

This is freaking awesome! Battle of the "Football 1st" schools in the state of NC. What year does this series start btw?

To me it seems that App has a great negotiator in scheduling as they landed the game in Charlotte which serves as a home game and will likely have 30,000+ App fans in attendance; and two ACC schools have agreed to play in Boone before App makes a return trip.

Wow I thought I was reading the deal wrong but I guess not. Hell of a job by Gillin to negotiate this. The schedules he has set up for the coming seasons are absolutely fantastic, and after just 3 years of FBS football. Can't say enough about the job our athletic department has done.

ECU fans seem to think they will draw similar to what they did last against USC (not good). They also bring up a good point that ticket prices will likely be higher than usual and that could make them more expensive than what was charged for the Miami game. Unless App subsidizes student tickets that could hurt attendance.

App gets the gate in Charlotte in will still get 6 home games. Despite what you may think, this is still considered a win for App as the make up of alumni and those that follow App State generally puts them closer to Charlotte than to Boone. The game in Boone would like attract 34,500 (per the fire marshal) while the game in Charlotte could bring 50,000. That's a good get for App given the nature of politics in North Carolina college football scheduling.

Bout time. Looking forward to both the Charlotte and Boone games.

I would think us having to expand our stadium plays a bit of a role in the reasoning as to why 1 in Charlotte, 1 in Boone.

I would guess the Charlotte game would be the 1st weekend of the football season whenever it is held based on past games such as NC/SC, ECU/VT, NCSU/SC, etc.

This is great news. Look forward to the early 2020s when we have a year or two with both Marshall and ECU on the same schedule. ECU better be glad this is a few years away, App would have won handily these last two years.

South has a deal with Memphis during the 2020 2021 seasons (I believe) H&H...Hopefully we have 2 wins against the mighty P6 AAC.

Then the series probably wouldn't have happened until App expanded their stadium, and you'll probably say "oh well" but App fans know this is a win-win all the way around.

Don't you have an even series with ODU who has a smaller capacity than App? I'm not against the deal since App still plays 6 in Boone and keeps the Charlotte gate.
