Like I said take Houston and the points. Some more free advice take Cincy and the points this weekend against ECU.

It worked out this time but ECU is a house of horrors for UH basketball. They cost Robert McKiver and crew an at-large bid in 2008 and put the nail in the coffin for the 2002 team.

Sophmore guard Kain Harris came off the bench for 27. I wish we could just fast forward to next season when we'll have a couple of 7 footers to help out all these talented guards.

Wait 2 more years. I think it will be appropriate to judge Dunleavy once he adjusts to the college system and recruits players.

I know from his NBA time that he CAN coach, he just has not adjusted to college play yet. I think he wants to get this right.

CKS didn't get his first conference win for UH until 9 games into the conference slate. It takes a new coach, even a good one, a full year to establish his culture and system. After this year Dunleavy will begin to bring in his players and hopefully you guys will begin to see progress. Have patience!

I know it's only his second game and he doesn't have much to work with, but are you noticing any differences with Bartow at the helm?

We lost to UNO, McNease, and Texas State. There's no excuse for losing those games. This season is an absolute dumpster fire. But the Dunleavy hire was supposed to be a big jolt 6 months ago and it's nice to see something positive.

Obi can't make shots, and doesn't have enough of an all-around game to mitigate that by driving or playing post up offense.

Our two seniors suck.

We're otherwise relying to freshmen and sophomores who barely played.

We have a very, very young team.

RE: 1/11 Basketball
Tulsa has already been called in the media as one of the youngest teams in the NCAA. Experience wise Tulsa having to go with a lot of true freshmen players on the court this season. We do have enough athleticism on the court to makeup for some of our players lack of in game court time. But nothing replaces real game experience.

The Dunleavy hire tells me that Tulane is serious about learning basketball. It won't happen this season or next, but it was a loooong run victory.

Tulane needs one coach to stay for a long time and build some stability. Conroy could have been that guy, but he didn't know how to keep kids from transferring.

People expect this team to win in years 1-3 when in reality the Cowen era did structural damage to the athletic program. This isn't something that's a quick fix.

I understand that. I am willing to be very patient with Dunleavy. I think this will be a very good hire in the long run. Still it would've be understandable to lose maybe 1 or 2 of those games but all 3?!?! I mean this roster has talent. Full of 3 and 4 star recruits. I get it that we lack size. But isn't a good coach supposed to work to the team's strengths and cover up its weaknesses? Idk. If we had won just one or two of those games I'd feel quite a bit better. Say what you will about Conroy scheduling early season cupcakes but at least he still beat them.
