Espn is up to The minute. Other sites are delayed by a few days

Interesting...thanks!

I wonder why other sites are different. The one below is updated few times a day. I'll roll with the ESPN RPI :)

http://www.rpiforecast.com/live-rpi.html
Rpi forecast is up to the minute...hell it has a column that shows you your rpi based on the scores of current games.

Not sure which is right but i would lean towards rpiforecast

Wonder what's up with the ESPN RPI. Are they calculating it differently?

I would venture a guess in saying that when you try to do everything things tend to fall through the cracks.

All very interesting info. Once again, I'm just happy to be talking basketball on here. & not about cotton headed nanny muggins or Cal. The Tubbs is gonna have us all forgetting about both.

Need to keep in mind that as more games are played, the rise or fall in your RPI is not as drastic with a win or loss.

That's the theory. However, we've moved 30+ points in 2 weeks in January.

Won't have to worry about that now. How far will the Tigers fall with that loss.

Dropped 12 spots from 75 to 87. No chance of an at large now unless we win out the rest of the regular season and make AAC tourney finals.

An at large was a nice daydream for a couple of weeks.

Now back to reality - getting Chad back into the rotation and getting ready for 3 straight in Storrs.

At least Randall Kessee and Clergeot are starting to show signs of life?

Yep. With a six man rotation we are heading for a couple of more losses like this.

Was actually thinking of February when I wrote that post. Should be more clear. We will have only 9 regular season games left I think. Makes since tho that you can't beat #6 team in country and lower your RPI by 30 slots.

I agree with this.

They can almost do what they've been coached to do without thinking about it. Almost. You can tell the difference when they start thinking too much.

This wasn't a rotation issue this was KJ not allowing up mentally.

Think it's just hard to get guys to break bad habits, especially the younger ones.

Closing out on a shooter with your hands up is about as basic as you can get on perimeter defense, yet guys on this team repeatedly fail to do it.

The season is basically two steps forward, one step back.

With a six man rotation you have no room for error. That means one player having a bad game will most definitely sink your ship. KJ saved us the other day. But last night he hurt us. It is what it is. This is the kind of team that, if they get hot, can make a deep run to a sweet 16

I just hope they get hot during the AAC tourney. Anything more is gravy.

I would rather lose first four game by 30 than win championship of NIT and most (if not all) players feel same way.

Everyone would.

But if you're trying to lay a foundation for next year, you also want as many games of experience as you can possibly get.

The caveat is, no one wants to play in the CBI or CIT or whatever else.

If you can get a home game path to NYC, then the NIT is basically also a one and done proposition.

I can't remember winning an NIT road game outside of that Calipari team winning at Utah.

The deal with being in the NIT is you can prove you were snubbed along with having a better opportunity to advance and get in extra practice time.

And anyone who says they would rather lose by 40 against another 12 seed is delusional.

Ask ANY CBB player and they will take NCAA. BTW, I think I posted 30 point loss; amazing how that got stretched to 40. LOL
