I'm hoping Dedric enjoys this season so much that he wants to return. He is definitely improved over last season when he almost left, so I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on. And, if he can play and get paid, maybe he should. But, damn, would I love to see him stay.

The important thing is to include bashing Pastner...no matter how you work to do it.

I'm with you on that, but I have the feeling that the decision may have already been made.

He did get his bottom spanked by 53 the other night. Want to talk about that?

Mimi is a special kind of butthurt.

7 pages of posts and how many exactly "bashed" Pastner?

My guess is very few if any.

Pastner, imo, should hang it up in the coaching arena. He is not cut of coaching cloth.

If he had some idea of his own limitations or if he had some real caring for the needs of players, he would.

Now you can bash me. shrug.

He's been more aggressive on offense (due in part to coaching) and he's finally living up to his potential. He's an elite athlete, a great defender, a decent-enough ball-handler, and has solid short mechanics...he just lacked confidence.

He's got to keep it up, but if he does watch out...

15 pts. on 51% shooting, 33% from 3 and 80% from the line...3rd on the team in RPG. 4th is APG. 2nd in SPG.

He has the tools to make the league. Age will be a negative factor, but if he can continue to shoot & score efficiently while defending and rebounding at a high level...he'll get some looks with his athleticism and solid frame.

Crawford would have almost impossible chance of making NBA at SG-position he would HAVE TO PLAY. This is most loaded spot in NBA. He will earn good money overseas

The grizzlies have Tony Allen and Troy Daniels.

I think Markel is a classic camp invitee that could stick with the right team, at the right time, looking for an effort guy who is athletic with ability to defend.

TA averaged 16ppg in his last year at OKSt and won B12 POY. I really really enjoy watching Markel and he's probably my favorite player on this years team, but I don't think he'd take home any POY awards anytime soon.

That wasn't really the point. The point is that there are opportunities at SG in the NBA. He's got size, plays hard on both ends and has learned how to shoot. We will see. He still has a long way to go.

Markel will play somewhere other than the NBA

Overseas, NBDL

Generally speaking you have to be a great shooter and a competent ball handler to play the wing in the NBA at Crawford's size. By NBA standards, Crawford is neither.

Maybe.

I'm not saying MC will be in the NBA either.

Just saying there are plenty of guys in the league with incomplete games....Courtney Lee sticks out as the best example...okay shooter, okay ball handler, etc.

I didn't say he was either of those things. I said he would fit the mold of camp invitee who could stick because of some intangibles. And it would have to be the right team. It's all speculation and certainly a year away.

Not one mention of Pastner by name until Mimi's post. Btw this is the same Mimi who calls another former coach "narcissist"

Telling ?

Yeah. I was curious why JP's name would come up in this thread.

I can't argue there. I just think he has a long way to go to be one of those guts.
