Yep very consistent and with the way teams are sagging off of him he will have that shot...

Now I just need him to box out.

Agreed, he had a great shooting game, career high. Glad for him but his rebounding technique or lack of hands makes me cringe. I bet his hand (single usually instead of two) touches 5-8 potential rebounds on any night he plays 20+ min but he's usually out of position or just slaps at it. Only 2 rebounds in 24 min tonight. He's avg only 1.4 reb/game in ~22 min avg/g in his last 5 games. That's almost embarrassing for a 6'8" player. Just needs to block out and change his fundamentals in footwork, jump timing and going up strong w both hands. Other than that though and he's got it. 04-rock

Nice to see him getting some points and and finishing on offense. I'd say he's stepping up in Chad's absence offensively so far based on the last two games. (Excluding SMU game)

The dude on Rivers in the SMU game (Ojeleye?) Had about 40 lbs on him. River''s couldn't handle him.

Not saying Chad going down was a good thing but Rivers is playing with more confidence and the results are positive.

He's starting to look pretty sporty overall.

Wish he was stronger physically, but guess there is nothing they can do about that now, that will be an offseason issue.

It shows his confidence level has gone up with more playing minutes. On our way home from the game listening to his post game interview, when finished I loved how Wolo called him by his full name, Jeremiah Rivers. 01-lauramac2

He's displaying good recognition, making mostly good decisions.

Those jumpers are wide open. He starting to find the gaps.

And getting confident in going to the rim.

That shot will be extremely important against UCF...They will sit back with Taco in the back of that zone and he is not going to jump and he is not going to reach...Just going to stand there with his hands up.

Agree.

Need to shoot well.

Get to the line.

And run that dude up and down the court.

Rivers is improving. Recognizing what he does well. Basically like everyone else on the team.

Very athletic, pretty good defender with some speed and quickness and figuring out that he actually can provide some offense, including shooting well from the line.

Confidence is creeping in along with becoming more comfortable in his role.

Nice to have a 6' 8" guy filling the lanes with the guards on the break -- and finishing. He's better than I thought he'd be, in 450's words, "like everyone else on the team."

But, as Tubby said after the win (about all of 'em), need to learn to rebound the ball. He's athletic. No reason he can't get some boards.

He is not suppose to score....he knows his role thanks to Tubby. He's having a great year...we need a few more on the bench like him.
