UConn game tonight, good chance for a win
Go Tigers!
We have some work to do to avenge the 3 losses from last year.
I say Tigers win, as this is team is bad this year.

UConn is missing 2-3 key contributors that are out for season - we should win this game. Then @ Tulsa, @ Tulane and home against USF. On paper? 4 winnable games.

Tulsa gave Houston all they wanted last night AT Houston
Winning at Tulsa won't be a given

This is true, Tulsa won't lose forever, but I will say this I watched the game last night and saw where two key players were out for Houston. Gray, who's averaging 20+ a game, second to D. Lawson was out with the flu.

I'm not sure what to think about Tulsa or Houston. I tried to watch the game last night to try to get a gauge on them, but I couldn't make it past 8 mins in. Both teams looked very meh to me and were playing pretty bad basketball. I realize Houston's leading scorer was out. There was also only about 300 people in the stands it looked like. Hopefully, we can get a win against these 2.

A lot of people who aren't Memphis fans would say the same thing about us.

I hear ya. I'm desperate for Memphis basketball to be exciting again. That's a subjective thing, as there are some who think they are exciting right now. For me, they still aren't there just yet. Making progress, doe.

We have exciting moments
Some of it is zone defenses
A lot of it is Martin and the guards still revert back to old habits and hold the ball sometimes
Imo Martin and Crawford can take their guy at will against most defenses

It's just different if it's your team and there is some sort of emotional investment.
I watched pieces of 5 different games last night...while interesting, none were exciting or enthralling or must see TV.
If it's not YOUR team or you're not betting money, most games are boring in reality.

Yep
I've pretty much lost interest in sports on tv
Not sure it's because I'm not betting anymore or just because I'm older
Probably a little of both

Then why aren't they doing it? Markel sometimes does when his entry pass to DL isn't there, but the only time I've seen Martin drive was the last two minutes of the SMU game. He almost always backs it out just when you think he's about to try to take his man off the dribble. Heck, try it. What's it gonna hurt?
By the way, I actually agree that either probably could do it in a lot of instances. For some reason, though, the confidence level just isn't there for it, yet. Too bad, because when it happens, I expect our level of play to rise significantly.

Markel did it last night repeatedly. Martin, not so much tho.
