I heard his name suggested here in the post-Cubit search, and some on the CMU board were hoping for him Post-Enos. I wonder if he'll get included on the interview list.

GVSU Football has declined under Mitchell. Annese and Ferris State in particular have had his-their number last five years.

If we don't hire him he could be in Mt. Pleasant in a few years.

Yes she's got some time to get her thoughts together. Her tone and demeanor will be telling but as a leader she need to come out guns blazing and give everyone a thumb nail sketch as to what the plan will be. I think everyone wants to hear that WMU will continue its momentum and plans to continue supporting the new coach with all he needs to be successful . It's obvious that Flecks salesmanship won over the boosters and thats how he got what he wanted for the program. It's going to be hard to find another salesman / master recruiter. Recruiting well was and will continue to be the key to keeping the program winning.

3 & 4 - great options to keep momentum
5 - don't think he would see this as a big enough move to leave Fargo
6 - wildcard, offensive innovator who likes to run the ball

Matt Mitchell at GVSU?

1. I think waiting a week and throwing a feeler out to his agent is not a big deal. We will lose recruits but it's worth it for the right hire.

5. I think a 13-1 cotton bowl team is a step up from ndsu. We have some returning talent and are an attractive place to go right now.

RE: Next head coach
CMU Football nose dived because Heeke went outside the Kelly-Jones circle and changed a successful program.

Hope we don't make the same mistake unless no qualified members of current staff want the job, which is hard to concieve.

Ya we could easily double the max money he can make and then add incentives.

I'm glad Chris Klieman name is being talked about. He is 40-5 at NDSU. 10–1 FCS playoffs. 2 FCS NC's. The only loss in the playoffs was in the final four this year. He beat Iowa State in 2014 and Iowa in 2016 in front of 70,000 people. NDSU is a winning culture. Bring it to Kalamazoo!
