Doc: Fickell a Man of Action
Every now and then Daugherty writes a strong piece. This is one of of them.

Looks like Bohn hired a quality guy who will get the program turned around and back on track.

RE: Doc: Fickell a Man of Action
Quote:Fickell recruits try-hard players who want only to be at Ohio State and now, UC. He is a good judge of character. Ted Ginn Sr., legendary coach at Glenville High, recently said, “He’s going to be a good asset to Cincinnati because I know what he stands for. I know that he’s strictly for the kids.”

That’d be different from recent times at UC, when coaches were either in it for themselves or for semi-retirement.

RE: Doc: Fickell a Man of Action
great article

really liked this segment:

'How might he do at UC? I asked Fickell if he’d ever lost a recruit to UC that he really wanted. “I don’t think so,” he said, “but (at UC) you can’t accept that, and as long as you don’t, it gives you a chance.”'

CLF is probably very glad to be starting at UC and not be residing in CBus.
CBus is a very very unhappy place right now for anyone involved with tOSU football.

Calling for the coach's head. Can't even find any enjoyment in an 11-2 season. Pathetic.

Wait, I just realized I was also describing UC basketball on Bearcat Banter.

not one credible person is calling for firing Urban, nor is Columbus a very unhappy place this morning...sounds like lots of hyperbole

Just be glad nobody on this board is calling for Fickell to be fired from UC...from last night's performance.

Oh, and I am sure there are more than a couple who are thinking it. Be glad they haven't said it...yet...
