I think the Akron game is a huge one for this program. Another road win, especially against the powerhouse of the conference, would be a telling sign that we are for real. When was the last time we were 5-1 in MAC play? Had to have been the 90's.

Pretty sure we can all put on rose colored glasses if we were to pull that game off.

Looks like 1996-1997 where we started 7-1 in conference play.

And honestly, we should be 5-0 right now too.

I can see your point, yes we blew the UB game but got very lucky against Ohio (with Tony Campbell out).

So we lost one we should have won and won one that we probably caught a huge break (on Campbell's 3 minutes of PT).

So things kind of balance out as one might expect over a long conference season.

Team ranking site has us going 8-5 the rest of the season and 12-6 going in to the tournament. They have us having a 20-11 season over all. A projected 2 seed and a 21%chance of winning the tournament.

Steve, I hope EMU will actually finishes 12-6. Not just on pace to it. EMU needs/deserves a solid year for once. And then you can gloat all summer long. :-)
