I get the distinct feeling that Saban would have been more than "OK" if Kiffin had taken the early exit. Matter of fact, I think whatever time Kiffin's rear bumper clears Tuscaloosa, it will only be moments before the axe was due to fall on him.

I think Franzeal is more right... Kiffin is there to get the additional ring and to pad his resume. If he can get another Championship on his resume, he'll use it in two years to try and angle for a better job than FAU.
