At one point - when all this started - Austin was done with basketball. I've seen screenshots of the texts. The plan was to return home and just receive a degree. Even discussed taking online classes at Southwest before enrolling at Memphis. Was going to move back in with some friends and play intramural ball. Keep in mind - this is all 2nd hand info. Take it for what it's worth.

Maybe that was all an emotional response. Maybe he's changed his mind. I don't know. I do know he's gone silent...maybe something is brewing. Maybe he's just being quiet.


I'll say this...IF he WANTS to come back, we should seriously consider. We need bodies. We need size. We need talent. Obviously, Tubby would need to get a good feeling from him & the family...but it's worth looking into.

so if he rejoins do we still say "who" when his name is mentioned? Not clear on the rules.
