Rutgers is a total joke.
The president of Rutgers thinks he can pay at the AAC level(UCINN) and hire an inexperienced co-cordinatorof defense from Ohio State(we saw how good that did in 2016;4 shutouts)In order to fix that they hired the x-Minn hc Kill.

lol wut?

The one program Skip had where he couldn't take NQs he failed miserably. See USF. He did well enough at ECU in CUSA, though left us high and dry and the cupboard bare and has again done well at La Tech in CUSA. He'll get a flier probably somewhere, hell it might even be ECU next year if Mo craps the bed. Skip, like Edsall is damaged goods, IMO.

Good move for UCONN. You would know that if you knew anything about how he did there in the past. Worry about your own program that is imploding.

70 and 63 at UConn 90 and 92 including Maryland. A real gem. By the way, the program that you said is imploding still has a bowl win over UConn.

Really UCONN?

The guy showed no class and badmouthed UCONN on his way out to Maryland.

You should have brought in a young assistant looking for an opportunity, or a good coach who wasn't give as fair chance like Al Golden. Anyone other than Edsall.

I don't see how this works.

I just hope Edsall has the good sense to keep the Civil Conflict going....

When considering UConn's previous two HC coaching hires, it looks good with his winning record there. Time will tell. An improving UConn is good, but still want to beat them on Oct 27, 2018.

You do recognize that Skip is a former Connecticut Head Coach- Right?

I've asked myself the same thing. Another one that is in the same category is Jim Leavitt. Supposedly he hit a player in the locker room? Not sure if that is why he got fired from USF. Regardless, I don't get why these two do not get more offers to become head coaches. They both can coach and recruit.

Good move for UCONN! He's the guy who got it done before, I don't see why he won't again.

Cheers!

Yeah if ECU is looking for a coach after next year I'd personally take either in a heart beat.

Here are active UCONN players in the NFL comparing to schools that have less. Most of these were Edsall under the radar types.

Edsell on the recruiting trail surrounded by prospects. Says he won't be boxed in by traditional recruiting as he shakes hands with a potential starting tailback.

It will be pretty funny when Edsall UCONN recruits run over your community college laden recruits that barely graduated High school.

You should hold your breath until it happens. Go look at the recruiting rankings. I'll hang up and listen

RE: Edsall back to UConn
Edsall took a program from 1-AA to the Fiesta Bowl.

At the Fiesta Bowl, they were down 34-20 with seven minutes left. UConn had the ball at midfield and they were moving. Then OU scored two TD's in the last few minutes and it ended 48-20. It was much more competitive than Ohio State's pathetic game against Clemson this week.
