It will be pretty funny when Edsall UCONN recruits run over your community college laden recruits that barely graduated High school.
there are two schools that bring down the academic ratings signifcantly

RE: Edsall back to UConn
I like Edsall for UConn. I would REALLY like Skip Holtz at ECU.

Those guys have shown they have the formula for those places.

With the young lions we just welcomed into the conference (Applewhite, Collins, and Fickell), it was important that the AAC brought in some veteran talent on the other end (Strong and Edsall).

How it translates remains to be seen but, imo, the AAC did very well this cycle.

I am confident in saying we have upgrades at UC, USF, and UConn. There is good potential at UH and Temple.

Edsall just hired JB Grimes as OL coach after his one year stint at UC.

Good luck, Huskies. UC's OL was the worst coached, least disciplined unit I have ever seen this past year.

RE: Edsall back to UConn
Grimes sounds like he is right out of central casting like Tubberville but they were both RIP (retired in place).

That was the single worst coached position group I've seen at UC in a long, long time. Good riddance.

This is payback for duping us into hiring that stiff Hank Hughes a few years ago.

ESPN's Greeny on Mike & Mike BLASTING UCONN's Edsall for pulling a long-time UCONN commits scholarship, just 2 weeks AFTER Edsall called the kid up to ensure he would still have a scholarship at UCONN that Diaco had offered him 7 months ago.

Here's the background to this story:

New Coach rescinds scholarship from player recruited by prior coach. Water is wet. I'm actually shocked by the "national outrage" of a coach not honoring the offers of a previous and awful coaching staff. This happens all the time. Not to mention this happened with plenty of time left for the kid to find a new school, which he already has.

Kid couldn't even hold his offer from Monmouth. Looks like the right move from a competitive standpoint anyway.

I have to agree with Hank. Seems like selective outrage here, as kids get schollys pulled all the time when there are coaching changes. Like you said, there is ample time for him to land on his feet. I've seen much, much worse.

Obviously you don't know the facts about this situation (didn't read link), as Edsall himself CALLED this kid on NYD to ensure that he still had a scholarship available, then 2 weeks later, changes his mind.

Yes, NEW Coaches generally call up those that committed to the previous coach right away to let them know if the new coach wants them or if they are pulling the scholarship, but in this case, Edsall already told him he wanted the kid and said kid would have his UCONN scholarship.

Newsflash: They didn't have a defensive coordinator until last week. Stuff happens. Schemes change. Scholarship offers aren't guaranteed. I feel bad for the kid but this happens regularly.

If you want to cry about the system go ahead. But until an early signing day is approved this will happen numerous times every year.

Yeah, you go ahead & take Southern Miss. Always the smack talker, huh? Insufferable douche. Another reason why this forum has become a garbage dump. Can't hold a candle to the old Big East board.

Get back to us when Memphis wins something relevant. Besides the Miami Beach Bowl, I mean. Or Final Fours that weren't vacated.

Ha...you're a small time school. That's why you want to play with and associate with small time schools.

You are DEAD wrong here. Edsall called him TWO WEEKS AGO and said his scholarship was still going to be honored and then they reneged on that?? Why not just be honest and say at this point we are not 100% sure we are still going to honor your scholarship instead of MISLEADING the player. I know one thing for sure, a certain coaching legend formerly at a school you root for would never do such a COWARDLY thing.

Every single other recruit interviewed has said that edsall and staff didn't promise anyone a spot yet this kid claims he was guaranteed one. Considering it's against NCAA rules for the staff to talk about an unsigned recruit, it seems to me you are basing your opinion on a situation where a kid may have heard what he wants to hear.

Additionally, get OVER it. (I just wanted to capitalize random words too)
