I like the way he attacked the basket, even though he has no clue on how to finish. Start to the game was inauspicious, as he once again threw the ball directly to a Houston player and threw up some air balls. But the kid tries hard, and I'll take that every time.
I agree 100%. He's obviously struggled shooting the ball, but he demonstrates one trait that would benefit a lot of guys on this team which is to keep fighting and do not let a couple bad plays bother you. He struggled in the first half, but continued to play hard and just forgot it in the second half. Hit a big 3, stole the ball and got the pg for Houston in some foul trouble and hit all his ft's. That was one of Van Exel's great traits that he would not let a bad game or half stifle his game and would keep firing. I got no issue with a guard taking the ball hard to the hole and getting rejected. HIs problem there was not his ability to finish as that big kid made an excellent play to slide and get him before he got up to the glass. It's those kind of plays that keep a D honest. He got right back up and played. It's what you have to do. Hopefully some of the others start to embrace that mindset.

RE: Houston Game thread
Had to listen to the game on a rough WLW signal as we were driving through northern Indiana on US30. Love listening to Terry Nelson, by the way. Cringed when I heard Teddy Valentine was refereeing.
Was concerned at halftime when I saw we had made more three pointers (6) than two pointers (5) and foul shots (2!?). Was afraid after the outside shots started clanking we would be in trouble. Pleasantly pleased with the second half.

Watching again, Houston seems to be really well coached. I can see a scenario come conference tourney time where we have a nice seed already wrapped up and Houston is playing to get in making them really tough out if we end up playing them a third time.

I won't make excuses for the team if they get knocked out of the tournament early yet again. It's time to put up or shut up.

I could honestly give a rat's ass if we win the conference tournament or not.
Also, never said I liked Kelvin Sampson, I just think that Houston is a pretty good team.

I rewatched the game last night, and it seemes that whenever we had the ball a whistle was being blown somewhere in the arena. WTF?

I used to feel that way, but it's getting ridiculous.
