Glad App State went FBS, they seem to be adjusting better than their rivals in Statesboro.

Why do you say that?

I'm telling you dude, it's better than it sounds.

Hah...I meant the "Glad App State went FBS, they seem to be adjusting better than their rivals in Statesboro.".

Our meltdown this year is the same kind of issues you get in any coaching situation when an AD let's a coach hire OCs that try to keep with traditions that they really know nothing about (aka taking air raid coaches and portraying them as option coaches and then playing dumb all season long as people sharpen their pitchforks). He's reversed track and hired an entirely new offensive staff this off season, so we should be back to at least 7 wins next season.

If you ask any App or GS fan that's been around this network for more than a few years, I'm one of App/GS, biggest detractors. All I ever did was suggest neither would be the next Boise, that the annual double digit wins would be coming to an end, that either would be lucky to be better than Troy was over their first ten years in FBS.

With respect to Southern's great 2014 season, App is trending in the right direction(21-5 over the last two seasons compared to your Eagles' 14-11). You'll still win more games than you'll lose, I expect you'll both be in the top half of the SBC more often than not, but as I've long said, neither of you are Boise.

Fair enough. I am at peace with the fact that everyone won't/can't be a fan. Just how it is. In terms of chasing Boise type success, I agree that App is closer than GS for sure. I still continue to say that both made the correct decision to move up.

Appalachian State is a VERY good team, and ahead of ODU. As we learned the hard way for the past two seasons.

Nothing but respect for the Mountaineers.

I grew up in south Jersey and I've always pronounced it correctly. Maybe it's because we had many a vacation in the area. Not really sure. Just one of those things, I suppose.

Do the bowl results affect how the playoff money is distributed?

RE: Conference bowl standings
Bowl Record Since the 2013 Realignment (through games played 12/23/2016):

Conference / Bowl Record / Win %

1.) CUSA: 14-7 .667

2.) SBC: 9-5 .643

3.) MWC: 12-13 .480

4.) AAC: 7-16 .304

5.) MAC: 5-16 .238

Facts don't appear to fit our preconceived notions .

I am fairly sure bowl games DO count in the playoff money rankings. We should be gaining ground.Problem is SBC is 4-1 in their bowls. We should finish ahead of the MAC and after that I just don't know.

The Belt still has one bowl left, that garbage internet bowl. South Alabama (6-6) plays Air force (9-3). Air Force should win it, then C-USA just needs to pull a split in our last two bowls. I think we can do that. I think we will have a higher bowl winning percentage then the other G5s.

I'll be watching it on TV. Can't believe Sinclair doesn't have an affiliate for the Dallas area.

MAC is really reaching for the "Kings of Choke Job" trophy this season. They really really had it and lost it. Some of these calls are effing dumb.

Today is more evidence that there are at least 10 too many bowl games.

If you're talking about 6-6 BC vs 6-6 MD then yeh, I agree.

Also, that crapfest that was MOH vs MSST.

However, you start limiting bowls and those same 6-6 P5 teams will hop over a deserving 8-4 G5 every time

Why is this at 11 AM on a Tuesday? That's a horrible slot.
I'll be watching, though.
