I have said it before and I will say it again -- I am 100% in favor of adding Wichita State.

I would want Wichita too but I would only want them if we stayed with an 18-game schedule and UConn was guaranteed to play Wichita, Cincy, Memphis, Temple, and SMU twice every year.

We should really schedule better in conference...top 6 from the previous year's rankings should be guaranteed a home and home. This would force UM, UC, UCONN, SMU, Temple, +1 (Uh/UCF/etc) a h&h most years and keep RPI killer games from happening 2x's in the same season (no offense USF and ECU)

The rpi is losing some of its influence in the commitee and some predictive formulas are going to take that slack up. Besides that trying to pick which teams will be good next year based on this years performance is silly in college. The teams are different each year as players leave (transfer, graduate, go pro) and doesn't even take into consideration scandals, injuries, administration/coaching changes.

Tulsa is a perfect example, last years senior dominated team was top notch in the conference. This years team was very inexperienced and its shown.

The smart play is to schedule the teams regionally for home and home and balance the league as best you can based on programs recent (10-20 year) tradition. Memphis, WSU, Tulsa, Houston, SMU should produce 3 solid to great teams every year.

UCONN, Cincinnati, Temple are three traditional NCAA teams, UCF appears to be building in the right direction.

Since you are guaranteed a home and home against two teams in the oppossing region you have a high chance as Cinci, UCONN, and Temple of drawing the rotation against a solid to great team and a home or away game for sure against the high end of the oppossing region to offset the current expected hit from ECU and USF. While it is likely one of the wests teams could end up the odd man out (NCAA wise) by drawing those two as their crossover.

The east region would be top heavy, Cinci and UCONN being regulars and having deep runs in the dance and Temple a frequent participant. While UCF, USF, and ECU have no appearences.

The west would be more balanced with really only Memphis having a substantial difference in recent NCAA history, (not to discount wichita states deep runlast 2-3 seaseaso but only Tulane being a team with no history.

12 teams in the league for MBB. 18-game conference schedule. No divisions. Play each of the other 11 teams once. Then allow teams to pick which 7 of those 11 teams they will face twice. Teams pick in order of previous season's standings.

In other news, the Electoral College was the only thing standing in the way of Hillary! being President right now. The Patriots were the only thing standing in the way of the Falcons winning the Super Bowl. New Hampshire is the only thing standing in the way of Vermont sharing a border with Maine.
