It's been interesting to listen to Feinstein the last two days. He is a huge advocate for mid-major basketball, and reformation of the selection committee. I like his willingness to call out the committee for their "ignorance". Bilas said something along these lines on College Game Day on Saturday as well. I heard Bilas' comments second-hand; I doubt he was speaking on behalf of mid-majors, but I appreciate national voices calling out the committee for relying on metrics rather than watching teams play. I don't expect changes, but it's nice to hear the committee called out. We need more basketball minds on the committee and we have to get rid of active ADs. Kevin White, Mitch Barnhart and Mitch Hollis have no business on the committee, and it's not reasonable to expect them to be impartial when it comes to Duke, UK, and MSU.

You could easily comprise of list of former coaches that coached at both levels. Off the top of my head, Jerry Wainwright, Bob Knight, Seth Greenberg, Bobby Cremins, Dave Odom and Eddie Fogler. This isn't a list I'm proposing, but just an example of the type of basketball junkies that have experienced life as a mid-major and a P5 coach, and likely still watch games at all levels. Those guys have also been involved with many different schools, so you wouldn't expect them to have a major bias, and they certainly don't have a vested interest in the outcome of the tournament (like an active AD).

Probably from talking to coaches and other basketball people. Having an open mind is a very welcome trait.

Agree, but having an open mind is still easier to do than actually altering a personal opinion.

UNCW jumps +5 after beating CofC for the CAA Championship to #26. We have got to have a shot at an #11 seed. That would change everything.
