In last week's CFP rankings, Navy was 4 spots behind WMU. 2 of the teams in between them lost.

I 100% guarantee than Navy will be AT WORST, no more than 2 spots behind WMU when the CFP rankings are released on Tuesday. And, Navy is playing a better opponent in conf champ game than WMU is.

Do not be surprised if a 2 loss Navy is ahead of WMU when all is done (as a 2 loss Houston was ahead of them).

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

If both win, ranking could be either WMU ahead of Navy or Navy ahead of WMU.
If WMU is ahead, hard for Navy to make anymore of a case against Army.
If Navy is ahead 4 December, delay or contingency almost certainly comes into play.

In other years than this year (say undefeated Navy, all other champs 2+ losses) Navy could get it regardless of Army game, but almost certainly not this year.

The rest was an attempted jab at WMU's historically putridly weak schedule.

I think if Western Michigan wins they have the Access Bowl. If they lose I think Navy takes it with a win and even Temple can snatch it by beating Navy.

Oh and it brings tears to my eyes to see my Bulls ranked in both at 10-2 after those seasons lost in disasters brought to us by Skippy Holtz.
