SOUTH AL BOWL GAME?
So, South AL benefited from not playing LSU and getting to play Presbyterian instead. Two of their wins are FCS teams. I thought you could only count one FCS win toward bowl eligibility. If they get to go to bowl game at 6-6 with those two wins, that's kind of BS...

RE: SOUTH AL BOWL GAME?
NCAA granted them an exception. Not their fault.

RE: SOUTH AL BOWL GAME?
They received a waiver which is only fair IMHO. Happy our former Blazers are going bowling. Sad in that it should ave been with us.

RE: SOUTH AL BOWL GAME?
They are actually allowed to go to a bowl with a 5-7 record...

Same here. They really lucked out IMO.

Got an extra home game televised, easy win which sets up a bowl bid, and still got the payday from LSU.

IF they get to 6-6, they must be selected after every other 6 win team. I got no problem with that. Not as bad as all the 5-7 teams that will be going.

The NCAA looks to be short of six win teams again this year. Look for some five win teams to go bowling. For instance, Notre Dame is 4-7 with Indiana at home this weekend. If they make it to five I bet they make a bowl, no matter how horrible they have been.

Nobody gets the preferential treatment Notre Dame gets! It's ridiculous.

There is no leeway in which 5-7 teams get to go bowling...it's strictly in order of the team's Apr rating

Notre Dame's preferential treatment goes back to the Knute Rockne days and has only been tempered by the "Tie one for the Gipper" game against Mich State in 1966. At one time, the ND QB had to lose the Heisman Trophy before any other player could have a chance to win it. They even changed the pronunciation of Joe Theisman's name to give him an edge for the award.

I will give them the recognition that they don't play the "directional teams" that other P5 teams play as PPV opponents. Their annual "weak sister" opponents are Navy, Army or Air Force.
