I know they have no shot, but it would be sweet if Drexel could pull off a massive upset over Monmouth on Friday, to kick off the post-Bruiser Flint era.

That is definitely the most interesting CAA game to me. New coach against a strong Mid major. I hope they can pull it off.

NE should beat BU at home and hopefully JMU can shock ODU. Hofstra and CoC should both win their home openers.

Thanks buddy. I'm extremely excited about both matchups with Charleston this season, as our budding rivalry continues to develop. Should be a blast! 04-cheers

It's gonna have that old school 2006 CAA style of play. Gonna be wicked fun to watch.

I will be surprised if both our regular season games are not very close to being sellouts this year.

I hate that we are playing the road leg against you guys on a Random Thursday night. Both of our games should be on Saturdays and I think we should close out the season with each other as well.

Regular season games between us not on Sat should never happen. Both ads should bring this up with CAA office. Same could be said about W and M vs JMU

My guess is they did this because it's easier for students to go to class that Thursday when they're only traveling 3.5 hours. Still sucks though.

This may be the only time all season there is any excitement over Drexel basketball in the non conference. We are not good, so all we can do is go up. Only interesting tid bit of information on this one is that one of the 7 losses Monmouth took last year was to the Spiker coached Army squad. Should be "interesting". Hoping Spiker can get this program lifted back up and interesting again, even if the talent is not there yet.

I have not put eyes on a game yet to really make any judgments. But in our exhibition we continued our losing streak to non DI teams in a home loss to Keiser (to follow up our losses to University of the Sciences and last year to Alaska-Anchorage).

Some of the things the coach is saying are the right things to be saying, so we will see through this season how any of those items progress and see what type of identity his team creates for itself. Charmin is softer than our OOC schedule so hopefully we can gain some type of positive momentum through the team with its new coach

Cougars won 81 to 68. Very sloppy game . Chealey 24 points and Riller 21. They were the 2 who missed the season last year because of injuries.

I'm going to be really interested in seeing Towson beat GMU. In my mind that's the #1 season opening game in the conference.

No real surprises from last night. CoC best Citadel and Northeastern best Boston U. Hofstra got a bit of a scare against Coppin State but they hung on to avoid that RPI killer.

JMU fell at ODU and Drexel fell at Monmouth but both games appear to be competitive. Delaware and Elon won their non D1 games.

Towson at GMU tonight
