RE: Week 11 Pick'em
GS vs. ULL - ULL by 7. ULL will muster enough offense to take care of the Eagles.
App State vs. Troy - App State by 3 in OT as NB calls a failed fake field goal.
ULM vs. GSU - GSU by 2 in a 9-7 win.
MNSU vs. Ark State - Ark State by 21.
Idaho vs. Texas State - Texas State shocks the world and wins by 1 in 3OT.
USA vs. BYE - Is BYE a Sun Belt team?

Not touching the App-Troy game, the 30+ point predictions are silly though.
GS-ULL: Southern by 10.
Ark State-NMSU: ASU by 14.
ULM-GSU: GSU by 6.
Idaho-Texas State: Vandals by 24.

Cajuns. GS is gifted a TD when a cajun player has a brain fart in the endzone on a kick return and forgets to take a knee before dropping the ball on the ground, GS defense also scores on a pick six, but the GS offense musters only 200 yards and 6 points. We give up a couple late TD's and lose.
Appalachian State @ Troy
Troy, didn't think app was that good. Haven't seen much of Troy yet (except the Clemson game). It should be a close game, but Troy will win at home.
Louisiana Monroe @ Georgia State
GSU just cause
New Mexico State @ Arkansas State
***UPSET ALERT**** out of nowhere NMSU wins. Hey MSU beat TXAM.
Idaho @ Texas State
* Idaho. TxSt is maybe even in a worse spot than GS.

This..
NMSU should go ahead and remove all Sun Belt logos to ensure the victory.

RE: Week 11 Pick'em
Louisiana 22 at Southern 24 - Will most likely be a defensive battle against inept offenses
Appalachian 34 at Troy 17 - Troy is a solid team but it's the last chance to actually rile up fans who care about their football team this season so here you have it. (Also, i've been within +/- one score on all App predictions the past 4 games)
ULM 21 at GSU 31 - ULM is close and next season they may be back in contention for bowl eligibility
NMSU 10 at Arkansas State 49 - Head ball coach has finally stopped tinkering
Idaho 45 at Texas State 24 - Idaho becomes bowl eligible, Bobby Petrino spray paints a little birdie on the administrators meeting room door

GS 27 Louisiana 24,-GS showed some heart and character in the loss to Old Miss, that good feeling carries over into this game.
GSU 17 ULM 14-Miles is coaching for his job, question is, do the players care enough to finish the season strong?
Ark State 42 NMSU 17- one team is motivated to win the SBC, the other is motivated to end the season, enough said.
Idaho 42 Texas State 21-Idaho goes bowling!!
now the big one, if both teams show up ready to play, easily best game of the year in the SBC, but Troy hasn't looked great the last 3 weeks, App hasn't been tested for almost a month. Close game, but going with my heart App 27 Troy 24

That's a likely outcome. But to say you haven't been tested in almost a month isn't accurate. Idaho and GS gave you a tough game for three QTRs. The final score looks great, but they gave you hell and were a staunch test for you guys. The only thing that separated you from Idaho and GS was depth and you won't wear Troy down like you have others. We're just too deep. That said, your score prediction is pretty accurate. I can see APP winning by as much as 17, and Troy by as much as 10, because of APPs defense.

GS had 60 yards of offense against App through the first 50 minutes of the game.
Idaho scored their first TD with 4 second left against the second team.

I'm looking at how close the scores were. I'm not buying the whole "our game is close, but our defense is good so we don't have to score". Idaho, GS, and GSU were close games going into the 4th. If their defense can hold you for three quarters, I have faith Troy can as well and has the offense to avoid APP dominating the 4th QTR.

When you watch all four quarters of all the games, App wasn't really tested, per se. The coaching staff calls the game close to the vest once up by two scores in typically goes in to don't make mistakes on offense and play lock down defensive mode.
One thing many fans and pundit's seem to forget (unless they talk about Alabama) is that defense can be a reason that teams win football games. Teams can play to their defense and special teams to create a synergy and you get the type of games you reference as being tests when in reality it is sound, complimentary football.

respectifully disagree with the scoring margin for either team, unless there is a ton of turnovers by one team, I don't think your see either team win by more than 7, these teams are just too evenly matched. As far as our play the last month, what you guys don't know is we have been resting, or not even playing a lot of starters, the Idaho game was basically our second and third string for almost the entire 2nd half, and the GS game the starter was being taken out mid forth, and last week against Texas ST, he was pulling starters by the late third. With respect to those teams, if we really wanted to, we could have made the final margins a lot worse. Bottom line, we are coming into Troy very healthy and very well rested.

App went on a 34-0 run against Southern from the second quarter on. The running game opened up in the 3rd quarter but the route was on with 10 minutes left in the third.
As for Idaho, they generally will hang around but ultimately you know that the outcome is never in doubt. Mind you App was up 37-12 against Idaho with around 7 minutes left in the game. One thing we did see this week was a more up tempo game plan, in my opinion to begin a transition to a different game plan for the last four games of the season, including Troy.
I for one would like to see App grind out long, clock consuming drives and take what points you can get. Take the game in to the fourth quarter much like the Tennessee game and then open the book up. Keep the defense fresh for the 4th quarter Chunn (churn) and go from there.
