That PJ stays forever and ever? :) Or he takes a job near where you're at, and you guys become roommates! Like the Odd Couple... that would make a great reality show!

I didn't think going 1-11, including a loss to a D1AA team was a possibility. Even with injuries considered, he still inherited some talent. But no, I couldn't see us being 8-0 right now, even in August. However, with Illinois being so bad with Lovie's 1st year, and NW losing to a (granted, hungry and good) D1AA team by suffering to score even a point, and NIU falling down the crapper, I would have seen 8-0 a possibility, but I still wouldn't have bet on it (especially with Braverman gone).

Yeah, but to be fair, we'd be above ND & MSU this year if we were in a upper-Cubit year. But Yes, ranked -- that's another story. It's great. It does suck that barring a couple losses and missing out on the MACC appearance, there is a great chance of him leaving at the end of the year. Nebraska's prev coach, LSU's prev coach, Houston's current coach looking to move up, and other good prospects may make the chances of PJ staying better if we get dinged a bit, and PJ wanting to stay in the midwest, while going to another G5 that's an option for almost all MAC coaches, wouldn't be worth it for him in his position.
What we don't have -- and would be hard to get -- would to have a coaching legacy established where one passes the torch to OC/DC, etc. Kind of like how NIU got things established. Except, we'd have to avoid hiring a Rod Carey. :)
