Future FCS OOC Opponents
Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but we host Wagner next year and Monmouth in 2019. I had to Google Wagner to find where it was (NYC).

Monmouth Hawks played Kent St. this fall and lost 27-7. Wagner Seahawks lost to Boston College 38-0 and play UMass next month. Wagner also played Concordia University (MI) winning 38-0. If you go to the future college football website you'll see that we are way behind scheduling OC games. We're stuck with the remnants. http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/ncaa-foo...edules.php

Have no problem with Monmouth or Wagner but would prefer we play some good OOC opposition from Midwest - Illinois State, Youngstown State, etc.

At least there'd be some geographical recognition for fans and opponents that might travel better.

I agree with you. The OOC dates for those schools go quickly.

RE: Future FCS OOC Opponents
Interesting site. Thanks for posting.

How is it that NIU gets so many P5 schools to come to DeKalb and why can't we do the same?

In the next several years they host BC, (2017) Utah, (2018) BYU, (2020) Maryland, (2021) and Vandy. (2022)

I recall when we hosted UVA and VT... I believe we had to agree to play 2 games at their place in order for them to play 1 in Kalamazoo. I know MSU was a 3-for-1. NIU seems to have straight home-and-homes with most of these teams. Maybe I'm missing something...

They are afraid to come to Waldo is in fact the correct answer.

RE: Future FCS OOC Opponents
I think it is more that we are afraid (reluctant would be a more appropriate word) to pay for P5, or good G5, schools to come to Waldo.

On the other hand, why should the U pay for name opponents when they don't really increase attendance in Waldo. IE: Virginia Tech, Indiana & Connecticut.

Obviously, I was not being serious. I assumed that went without saying.

Monmouth is basketball king. Last year the Hawks have wins over UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, and Georgetown.
