DEAR FRIENDS,
THERE IS AN OMNIPOTENT TROLL NAMED "p23570" WHO IS ATTACKING THE BOARD IN WAYS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.
THIS GUY MAKES BIG EAST HOMER LOOK LIKE THE POPE.
I AM ASKING YOU ALL TO PUT ASIDE YOUR DIFFERENCES, SAVE YOUR BATTLES FOR A LATER DAY, AND COME TOGETHER.
IMAGINE A SMART VERSION OF BIG EAST HOMER WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS A LITTLE ABOUT FOOTBALL, AND PERHAPS MORE VICIOUS.
HE MAY NOT HAVE A THOUSAND USERNAMES LIKE BEH (Tigersmoke, Phil Lacio etc etc etc) BUT HE IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS.
WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER. SIMPLE. WE SHALL CODE NAME p23570 the following: C3-PO. WE SHALL MAKE A MOCKERY OF THIS TROLL.
IF ANYONE SEES p23570 (AKA C3-PO) REPORT HIM AND REFER TO HIM AS THIS CODE NAME.
THANK YOU ALL.

The ACC has two Florida schools. You don't see UNC, Duke, and NC State fans yapping about the Noles and the Canes. The first arrangement (fb only) would have been perfect for you ECU fans that want close road games. Why didn't you join the Colonial and stay true to the original agreement? It would have been the best of all possible worlds for a fan base that doesnt seem to care.
ECU needs to man up... because USF IS (they fired a ****** coach who kept beating ECUs ****** coach... Btw, Antigua was hired after ECU joined the AAC). UCF fired a better coach than Lebo, and made a good hire in Johnny Dawkins.
They're committed to making this conference the best possible home for basketball, realizing their RPIs affect everyone else's RPIs.
The bottom line is that its an embarrassment ECU keeps giving Lebo more seasons. No other program in America give Votes of Confidence to coaches that regularly finish at the bottom of the conference and lose to the absolute worst teams.
Lebo is unemployable as a D1 basketball coach everywhere except ECU. Lol. That's a dubious distinction for you Pirate fans.
You pretend like you're giving some super insightful lecture when there are very few people disagreeing with you. We know we're bad, we know it's embarrassing, but there's nothing we as fans can do about it.
We could have donated more to the basketball program, and could have b**** rights by now. Buuuuuuuut we're all on the football train.
That being said...

Dooley is open for ECU to take....alright BEH, let's say ECU did what New Mexico did and fired a coach with 3 years left on his contract to go after someone else. Why are you convinced that Dooley would take the ECU job? He didn't take the UNM job where he has ties too. If he didn't jump for UNM, what makes you think he'd jump at a lower paying ECU gig?

The MWC is a 1 bid conference and its best teams are in turmoil. Just like Gregg Marshall has said, the AAC offers the opportunity to put a team in the tournament without having to win the autobid.
Perhaps Dooley sees the opportunity that exists at ECU that some of its own fans don't see. Perhaps he sees an opportunity to right a wrong... to get one back, so to speak.
The ECU job has evolved into a better job, through no real effort by the administration. There is someone out there that wants to coach against all the great coaches in this conference. Maybe it's Dooley. It's certainly not the present stiff who's just collecting his retirement fund.

The job of an AD is to fund raise. Compher could've covered the added expense a long time ago. Lebo doesn't get Pastner money.
The fact of the matter is, you're still going to pay Lebo if he finishes out his contract. You made that mistake already.
By letting him actually hold the team hostage for 3 years, you're losing a lot more than money. But hey, maybe you enjoy watching SWAC games.

Not enjoy per se...used to it. Dooley has done a great job at the school Florida Golf Course Coast whatever, and he's making a lot more cheddar there than he was when he was coaching at ECU in the pre-CUSA basketball days for ECU almost 20 years ago. What I'm saying is that I'm not sure he'd even come back if Lebo was canned and the job was available. You seem to think he would. I'm asking you why you think he would?
Edit**my bad, you answered the question and I didn't see it. Right a wrong; go up against better coaches.

Yeah the MWC is terrible right now but as someone who's been to a New Mexico basketball game and an ECU game, it's a night and day difference. Now ECU football OTH blows a NM football game out of the water. On to the subject of Dooley and the brand new school he's at in Florida......I don't understand how a brand new school built around the year 2000 is able to pay him and keep him. That's incredible. I know nothing about the school and had never heard of them until the sweet 16 a few years ago....
