The AP poll broken down by individual ballots
Stumbled across this and found it quite interesting.

http://collegepolltracker.com/football/team/wmu/2016

This site breaks down each individual ballot for the AP poll, even going so far as to label a pick as "extreme" when a pollster ranks a team 5 spots or more in one direction or the other from its actual ranking.

This week, we're ranked anywhere from #12 to not at all.

As I expected, there's some regional bias at work, although honestly not as much as I thought there might be. I found it interesting that the guy that has consistently ranked us the highest week-over-week is from Asbury Park, NJ.

The one guy that didn't rank us this week actually had us ranked last week and dropped us out. Not surprisingly, he's from about as far from Kalamazoo as you can get. (San Jose, CA.)

The comments are quite hilarious too. All from the same guy berating each individual poster that he feels disrespects West Virginia... (Mostly complaining about WVU's position relative to Wisconsin.)

I didn't find anything similar for the coaches poll but I didn't look all that hard either.

RE: The AP poll broken down by individual ballots
Well, the guy not ranking us did have us ranked at #24 the previous week. So everyone's at least ranked us in recent history. I can understand one person barely ranking us having us drop out. Just 1 guy. He'll put us back in swiftly if we're TCOB.

I could see us dropping a bit due to our half-bye skipping the weekend, where we could be #22 in both, but jump right back up, seeing as our games are going to be nationally televised and with ESPN highlights during the week.

If we're barely scraping by to beat BSU/Kent/Buffalo, then yeah, that won't be good. How we win will matter when playing lower-end teams.
