Ya their coach is really bad. I think the aac is safe now. I don't see any way the committee shows mercy to boise when they just proved that they are a terrible team when they play at least a decent team. Their schedule will do them no favors either yikes!

There wont be much discussion in regards to the G5 spot by the committee and as long as Boise keeps winning...they will get to host the MWC Champ Game vs a weaker opponent from the other division....and if they win...odds are they will get that spot...especially if they are ranked in the Top 6-8 (even though rankings don't officially matter with the committee...no one on that committee is watching these games anyway involving G5 teams unless its vs a potential playoff P5 team, ala Houston vs Louisville).

Let me be clear, I think Boise is a better more complete team than SDSU. However, to think that Boise will play a "weaker" opponent from the West Division, ignores the realities on the field. SDSU has beaten Boise two out of the last three games, and in the third blew a 20 point lead due to weak QB play.

An SDSU @ Boise Championship game will be between two ranked teams as long as they both keep winning.

That's basically what I said (i.e. weaker team) and I didn't ASSUME BSU would win that champ game...as I said "if", not when.

This is not a "great" Boise State team this year (believe at least 3 AAC teams could/should beat them on neutral field) like they've had in year's past...but "if" they run the table...BSU will most likely get that G5 Access Bowl slot over a team from AAC.

Can't agree with that. They were beating TCU before being P5 and BYU is not a slouch this year. They have a way of getting it done.

As luck would have it I have actually looked into this in the past and he is right.....

From 2001-2015 Boise State had wins over teams that finished a combined 902-1162 or a 43.7% winning percentage.

There is just no question that our Access chances go through the roof if Boise loses a game, and they are much lower as long as they remain unbeaten.

I don't see the need to root against them.

ECU will do our part in Nov! The postponement helped us greatly in my mind. We just were not ready for Navy, needed to heal, and needed a true QB battle.

Unfortunately, I don't think it matters who is better. Boise has a name. Most casual sports fans view them as cool, blue turf and all. I think the rankings are rigged to a certain extent and if Boise is undefeated, they have to be considered the favorite for the BCS bowl simply because the powers that be will believe that Boise will generate more interest among casual fans (plus they have a history of traveling well to BCS games). I wouldn't snooze on Western Michigan. Yeah, they might be as good as Boise or Houston, but the computers have them ranked higher and they are getting a lot of media buzz. When Houston lost the Navy, the national perception seems to be (right or wrong) that they are not as good as advertised after the OU game. Maybe beating UL will change the national perception. However, unless WMU and Boise lose, Houston is the only AAC team with a shot at the bowl.

They never won the conference when they shared it with tcu or beat them for that matter. Also they only beat them two times both in a bowl game. Lets not forget that byu started the year 1-3 so they are not great either.

Like i said they only schedule bad teams.

Let's be realistic. Every team in the AAC, Army and about 85% of the remaining teams would sell their dogs to have the success that Boise State has had lately.

BYU's coach is brand new. If he was a veteran, he probably have won last night.

He has done pretty well considering the gauntlet he was faced with in his first year. If the easier games were at the beginning of the schedule instead of at the end, BYU would have won last night.

This is assuming Western Michigan chokes at some point this season. But looking at their schedule, I dont see them running the table and going undefeated.

The MAC Conference Championship Game is always good for an upset.
