I don't know. It is possible the Big 12 completed the largest shakedown of two dominate networks. The AAC teams were played.

.....and all those fans/schools would all jump on the first plane if the B12 asked for a second interview.

Let me know if that happens. I hope we never schedule the turds again. I sure won't watch a big12 game. You can bet I'm not alone.

If the Big12 gets a pay increase in exchange for eliminating the pro-rata expansion provision of their contract, then the Big12 is getting money based on how undervalued we are.

ESPN is saying, we already own (picking an AAC team) Cincy's rights for $A. If you were to expand, we'd have to pay $A+X. How about instead we pay you $X/2 so that we can continue to own Cincy for $A.

I'm not a lawyer, but that sort of price manipulation seems illegal.

Options = money. We need to go on the open market and hope to god we don't get another $2 million dollar offer. I'd like to stay with ESPN but it is insane that Iowa State makes more than the 12 of us combined. We at least need to get to $5 million each.

So we had what, 5-6 teams that thought they had a real B12 chance? So if 2 got in, you'd still have 4 pissed off fanbases (or more). What's the difference if you have 4 or 6 pissed off fanbases??

Someone was getting screwed no matter what happened today. That's the real problem.

Ya know, remember when the Big 12 surprised everyone saying that they were going to expand....this kinda makes sense.

You know, it's kind of funny - the Big 12 was pinned down by a room full of media on Baylor questions, yelled "expansion" and we chased it.
