Charge on bro. Oh wait, I guess your charge will be off.

Be safe Orlando people. We have some friends who have come over to tampa to stay with my parents.

Never lost power although it did flicker a couple of times. Our external power packs were #chargedup though.

RE: USF and UCF Brothers and Sisters
As of 3 AM on Saturday, over 1 Million homes in FLA do not have power.

Here are the latest totals of those without power (% of homes in the county) for the Central Florida area:

Volusia: 240,330 homes without power (85% of all homes in the county)
Brevard: 142,466 / 47%
Flager: 55,816 / 94%
Seminole: 57,182 / 28%
Orange: 42,169 / 7%
Lake: 11,024 / 7%
Marion: 18,615 / 10%

Summer "heat" will be coming back today (upper 80's, near 90)...as yesterday was a gift for much of the area...as the all day rains kept temps in the upper 70's for many...even when the rain stopped.

Our neighborhood, which was without power till around 7 pm last night, had a "clean up" party once the rain/winds died down around 3 pm...and everyone from 3 yr old girls to grand parents helped clean up all of the fallen debris (tree limbs every where), as we cleaned each yard home by home...and even cleaned the STREET (gas blowers) and bagged up all of the debris/leaves, etc...so now our street is lined by 100 plus yard bags...and tree logs from fallen papaya trees.

As soon as we were done bagging up the last of the debris right before sunset...our power came back on!!!

Glad to hear it. When you live in a hot southern state and the power comes back on = exhilarating feeling.

Especially for those today...as it will be a warm one (highs in upper 80's).

With all the clouds/winds even after the worst came thru yesterday...the temps were basically in the upper 70's and comfortable...even outside (hence why so many of us had "energy" to clean up all the debris yesterday...as we joked if it was a normal, quick July/August Hurricane where it came be in the 90's almost right after the storm...we all joked that we would have been in no hurry to clean up!)

Our City Yard Trash truck just came by our side of the street and just hauled away all of our bagged and wrapped debris! (Probably had to do dump it after just 1/3 thru our neighborhood as those across the street are still waiting for it to come back).

That's an awesome display of community pride. Wish we had that here.

Thanks for well wishes. Everyone in FL is very lucky it didn't make landfall or move down coast closer to land. If path was 20 miles closer it would be a terrible outcome.

Yeah...we are truly blessed to have amazing neighbors that care about one another...as that feeling has stopped many from moving to "bigger homes", as you never know who your neighbors will be...and even in your "dream home", you could hate life because of crappy neighbors. Heck, one of my neighbors (recently moved down from the MidWest) recently turned down a promotion to move to Baltimore area.

Great neighbors help a group of homes become a great neighborhood...otherwise you just have a house.
