Anyone else feel like Saturday was a bit of a blessing in disguise to see that Jarvion can still be the feature back in our offense?

I think it bodes very well given that Bogan should be available going forward.

Just my two cents.

It is a blessing to have such depth and talent in the offensive backfield. 04-rock

I'm sure Franklin has not been pleased to lose so many carries to Bogan, but he appears to have handled it with high character. To have the two of them, let alone the other talented reserves, makes WMU that much stronger.

RE: Franklin
I would love to see them in a 2-back set with Franklin able to be a blocker or come out of the backfield as a receiver. I think it would make a defensive coordinator have a break-down. You wouldn't know if Franklin is running or blocking, Bogan running or out in the flat, etc. How can you scheme for that?

RE: Franklin
I was very happy to see Franklin back to form. It was also nice to see guys like Fabian Johnson and Davon Tucker have some nice runs. There's just so much depth at RB, it's crazy.

But I could probably run for 100 yards behind this O-line. Have those guys been spectacular or what? Completely dominant.

RE: Franklin
I think when Franklin gets his 5 or so carries in a game that Bogan carries the ball Franklin doesnt get going. Glad to see he still has it

Yes, thought the same thing. I was impressed with Fabian's burst too.

That said, I give most credit to our OL - I just love the domination that they exert on the other team

Jarvion has always been a premiere back. He doesn't have the top-end speed of Bogan, but he excels in every other factor: strength, power, making correct cuts, running downhill, tenacity, receiving, did I mention power?

That said, Bogan also knows when to cut and knows how to get the most power from his smaller stature. He also has very good acceleration. We have thunder and lightning. I also would like to see them both in the same set.

RE: Franklin
Franklin and Bogan compliment each other even when they are not in the same backfield. The opposing linebackers just get used to Franklins shoulders down style and then Bogan gives them the little cut and burst and he's gone. Then they play a little more balanced and reactive and Franklin just bulldozes right over them. By the 4th quarter they are dazed and confused.

Now we've seen Franklin getting the ball delivered via air to get him out in space, too. 03-cloud9 Gotta love the scheming that is going on to use all these weapons in multiple ways.

When we don't utilize our tight ends like we used to, it's good to see we can utilize our big bruising back as a receiver.

RE: Franklin
Bogan has stronger legs than Franklin. They are both INCREDIBLE. We may be losing our X Y and Z receivers next year, but we'all have at least SIX great backs we can utilize.

I hope the staff starts working more of the younger WRs into the games from here on out. Just like we need ZT out of there when we are comfortably ahead. Don't risk key injuries and start developing your backups in terms of game experience for next season.

That's a huge sign really. HC isn't too concerned with the future, playing for the now, and rightfully so I think.
